  1. From what I have heard/read it was one, the one they modified as a 'Super Phantom' with PW1120 engines. However, I seem to recall pictures of that one with the gun-fairing intact so take your pick :)
  2. A webshop here in Denmark charges $13.45 for shipping, no matter what you order (I believe). Didn't read the fine print properly and got myself stuck with that price for 2 decal sheets roughly 1½ times the size of a credit card each. ;)
  3. Well, I had forgotten that I had ordered the combo-sheet, so I was pleasantly surprised when it showed up. I also felt a bit un-easy, because I couldn't recall if I had payed or not! I had tho'. Still waiting for placement guides tho'
  4. Simon, don't forget the GB prize you owe Julien.
  5. Got my stuff today, so thanks to Simon for that. The deal is now concluded. :o
  6. I have recieved proof of posting and track & trace confirms a parcel arriving in Denmark today. Let's see monday then, but things are looking up. :)
  7. Then kindly blur out my address, just leave in my name and country
  8. Well, both of them have been in contact with me to sort this mess. Let's see if I end up with £80 for my troubles! As Chuck says, stay tuned.
  9. Well, I'll see how this plays out then. You'll get my addy when I don't hear anything else from your son. I'll even accept the £40, not that I ever expect to recieve them from either of you.How nice, mother and son having the same favourite USN squadron, makes one all misty-eyed. :D
  10. Yes.Except I know him as Simon Love. Bastard still owes me at least £50. Sorry mate, you're not gonna see any money/kit/anything from him.
  11. Interesting that the paints are in the FS-range and not BS381c/BS4800.
  12. Diameter is 16.5in and the wingspan (finspan? ) is 23.5in according to my sources, which is very close, in 1/72, to the dia of a Hase 19-shot rocket pod
  13. On the picture I've seen (haven't a clue where), the Mk.82s were on a TER in slant-two configuration on the outer and lower points, with the Sidewinder on its normal rail inboard.I've also seen several pictures of Navy/Marines Rhinos with three bombs on a TER (Rockeyes or Mk.77s, can't recall any Mk.82s) and both Sidewinders, but the Navy/Marine/RAF/RN pylon and rails were different from the USAF ones.
  14. I used this for dimensions. I also found a drawing somewhere with a rear-view of the fins with dimensions.Eventually, they'll be going on a mid-80's 14sqd bird.
  15. I scratch-built these: I used the 19-shot rocket pods from one of Hase's 1/72 weapons sets and the fins came from the 1000lb'ers in RoGs Tornado GR.1 kit.
  16. Don't expect the quality of the resin to be as good as their decals are :DHere is a quick in-box review I did a year ago. Unless they've changed the moulds, there's some work to do.
  17. Joe, on F-16.net there are a few pictures of F-16Is with CFTs too. Search the gallery for "f-16I" or "idfaf f-16d block 52" and they'll pop up - along with those without CFTs. Here's a good one of #408 with F-4E Kurnass 2000 #634. Another one here with both CFTs and 600gal tanks, although it has blue rounds loaded.
  18. I'm just an armchair tactician (and, judging by how I fare in pc strategy games, not a very good one), but I would guess that the F-15Is are being kept at home as some sort of strategic weapon (range-wise, not loadout). If they need to put a GBU-28 down someones throat, they're nice to have on alert.According to the Ra'am book, the big Eagle-head was applied to half the aircraft. Base-CO then stopped it, because he didn't like the look. The Eagle-heads are on the new 1/72 and 1/48 sheets from Isra. I haven't seen the new Sky's sheets, anyone got a link?
  19. Israel have MANAT, which is part of the airforce. They fly quite a few types with mods for their purposes, like a Sufa without its gun or a Baz with cameras on one of the tail-booms.
  20. Ooohh, nice, a what-if :P For an F.3 the best would be to track-down an(oop) Italeri kit. Only nice thing I've heard of the Airfix offering is, that it comes with Alarms to do an EF.3 Wild Weasel. Then find some AM FAA decals, either for the Phantom FG.1 or Sea Harrier FRS.1/FA.2.
  21. Already got a camera, but glad you found your niche - I bloody well hope you get some sort of percentage of the sales! Your mind probably is going :D but no, there isn't a GR.4 in their cat. However, if you can find this one, it can easily become a GR.4 by using the RAF/GR.4 specific stuff from the alleged "tweak'n kick" (great expression :D ) Airfix kit. Oh, and the Germans fly the IDS and ECR, as do the Italians (at least, I've been told the Italians have ECRs) Have fun! <_<
  22. Hey Hugo, how's things? The Airfix 1/48 GR.4 only have markings for the RAF, four different aircraft if memory serves. Only the RAF flies GR.4s, Germany and Italy have their own (and different) upgrades. The only other country who might get GR.4s are Saudi Arabia, but I don't know for sure. The kit itself is widely reported to be somewhat lacking. Usually the recommendation is to get the Italeri kit, Paragon updates/details and use the GR.4 specific weapons and bumps/antennas from the Airfix kit. I don't have any personal experience with either of them tho'. HTH
