  1. Be careful with the m240. You have to be careful when you take them from the sprue because they will break on you if you apply too much pressure. Believe me, I already broke a couple....lol. and thank you for the pictures Erick. Richard
  2. I glued my legs "straight" from the fuselage. No angle. BUT I would test it just in case. Richard
  3. Just some small updates. I finished my tarmac for the Kiowa and I think that it looks alright: Then I started on detaling my engine, it is nowhere near done but I wanted to post some pictures of the engine and the steps on detailing the engine: I first started to paint the engine the way that it was suppose to be painted and not all silver. Now I took some creative license and I put a small sapre piece to the engine. I attached the small part to the engine so when I put my wire or cables they will have something to attach to. I also put some black pigment to the engine so the eng
  4. Not too mugh to update. I am back at work so modelling is slow. I have done my tarmac for my Kiowa and started detailling my engine but the work is slow. I will update in a little while. Working on the Kiowa is like dealing with a 1/48 scale subject, it is so small...lol. Richard
  5. Damn Rick, with the job that you are doing to the stallion, even though it 1/48 scale, it is on my list of kits to get. Great work. And i think the rivets that you are doing is dead on. Richard
  6. Good reply to the accuracy police Erick. You have always helped me with my Blackhawk and you always give useful info without degrading my build and I do appreciate it. I took your info because I know that you are a blackhawk pilot and you are always helpful with the info that you gave me. On the camo on the tail rotor section. I cannot wait to see how that turns out. Knowing you, it will be great. Looking out for your build. Richard
  7. Erick are you planning on painting the camo on the tail rotor section? Richard
  8. Cannot wait to see this build Erick. Richard
  9. You are doing a excellent job with that Stallion Rick. Keep pressing on. Richard
  10. I used this product to paint the lexan bodies that I use to paint for RC Racing when I was in the hobby. Now I have other products like Micro Mask : But if you look at both of them side by side, it cost me $4 dollars for the Micro Mask for a 1 oz size, compared to 8 oz if you chose the Fasmask (made by Parma). The Micro Mask is a excellent product but for the price of the Fasmask that will cost you $10, well you do the math. And like I said, it will last you a lifetime. Just my opinion. Richard
  11. It was not cured when I took the picture, so when it cured, I just removed the mask. Just like any other masking product. Richard
  12. It is a great product Oliver and it will last you a long time. Richard
  13. So in my haste of painting the engine, I decided to redo the engine and it's department that it is housed in. Because I painted the engine all silver (mistake) I made it a little difficult for me (as usual). So I started to mask the engine using Fasmask: I use to use this product when I raced RC cars and I would mask the body to paint it. You can purchase this product at any hobby store and this is the second bottle that I have used over 7 years. It only cost about $10.99 and it will last you a lifetime. I always prefer to use this product over anything else. So I masked the engine
  14. Thanks for the pic Gino. I was looking on google yesterday and i thought the same thing about the maintenance. Richard
  15. Thanks Oliver. I will see what I can do with mine and see how it turns out. I am thinking about repainting the yellow chromate. On alexanders build, he used interior green instead of the yellow chromate, like the kit instructed me to. We will see. But I definitely have to do the engine again....lol. it sucks that I dont have my computer. But I plan on getting a better computer in about two weeks. Richard
  16. I think I am going to start the engine and the engine dept all over again. I have to add some more detail to the engine by scratch if I want to open the engine doors when the model is done. And i made some mistakes painting the engine dept. Richard
  17. I need some help. Does anybody has reference pictures of a kiowa going thru maintenance? What I am looking for is the ladders that maintenance people use to get to the engines during maintenance. And also the extra boxes that they will use. It is for my diorama. Any help would be grateful. Richard
  18. Now that is some mean scratch building happening Oliver. Great job! Richard
  19. If you do remove the doors, i would scribe the doors down before I would cut it. I didnt do that ony black hawk and I almost made a mistake. Just my thoughts. Richard
  20. OH MY GOD.....we are at this again??!!! The reason why I started posting my build (DAP Black Hawk) on ARC is because of Oliver Huey build. Now I am getting use to helicopters and all the parts that are involved in a model. But when I looked at that model and the stuff that he does with brass, I have never seen that type of modeling before. Because I didn't know about Huey's and even helicopter, I may have been ignorant on what I was looking at and I couldn't tell you what was accurate or not. But the build blew my mind. Then I reached out to Oliver and we had a talk on the phone and he wa
