  2. I started my P-38 build as a relaxing break from a very demanding Airfix 1/24: Going back to the P-38, how can I resist some gorgeous Ultracast wheels and spinners and thin propellers like the ones released by Quickboost ? Here is how the wheels look dressed up with some paint: An this is her, on her legs: Once in a while I think I am getting too old for this hobby. So, what do you think? Is it time for me to leave this hobby ? Forever ?

  8. This build is going fast. Here is how she looks dressed up with some Alclad and a little artistic oil: Hey, I have to confess that this build is just a relaxing break from my Airfix 1/24 Typhoon... See you soon!
  9. Thank you Joel! Given that I am using Alclad colors for a natural metal finish, first I need a glossy black:

  13. Ciao, What about a P-38? That is what I asked myself a few days ago, looking at my Academy Lightning hiding in the stash . . . For those of you who do not follow my FB page (https://www.facebook.com/paolo.portuesi.1) here it is: Cockpit: Sanding hard: Scribing panel lines:
  14. Going Fast ! It is well known that one - if not "the" - major shortcoming of the 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109 G6 is the shape of the spinner. Hasegawa replaced the spinner with a more accurate rendition in its later 1/32 Bf 109 F4. Aftermarket spinner replacement are plenty. The one you can see in my next pictures is, again from Barracuda. What do you think? Does it look the part ?
  15. Ciao, Well, even though I am spending most of my free time on the big Hasegawa Gustav, I finally found the time to finish my Ju 88. I am very happy of the final article, what do you think about it?
  16. Thank you all for your nice words. Your comments, congratulations and remarks are always very appreciated. Here is my Gustav standing proud on his new Barracuda resin wheels. Amazingly enough, the Barracuda's wheels are including some very small decals!
  17. All the major airframe parts are up. Look: I have to admit that I like it a lot. And you ?
  18. I have to say that now I like it much more: Do not you agree with me that now is much better? In my opinion, an aircraft should not weathered like a tank. Let me know what do you think about it, just look once to my first effort: More from me very soon!
  19. Given that it was looking to me over-weathered, I stripped off all the paint and then started over:
  20. Hi, To make it short, I did not like It. It was increasingly looking like a tank to me. So, look what I did: Now it is time of a new paint job !
  21. Ciao, Some more pictures of my 1/32nd Gustav: I have to say that I am not happy with the paint job. My next post will be surprising. . .
  22. Yes, yes, I know: wrong forum. . . please forgive for that and let me know what do you think about my Mustang because if you look careful you will see that it is far from perfect.
