I'm not sure which EE kit have the extra intake trunking, but certainly all of their -500 variants include it. 26 Models have good value re-boxed EE TriStars with their own top quality decals, and they show the trunking included, if that helps. http://www.26decals.com Dave

Hello Jonah, I would personally go with the Eastern Express kit every time. It is a 'clone' of the old Otaki kit, which was always thought of as the far superior kit of the TriStar. I built (and still have hidden away) both the Airfix and Revell kits in the mid 70's before I knew what accuracy was. They were both apparently based on 'impressions' of what the L-1011 would look like. The Airfix version suffered from very undersized flap track fairings on the wings, as well as an incorrect number of them. The centre engine intake/tail lacks the contours of the real thing. Revell'

I've subscribed to Airways since it started, and have always been very happy reading it. My subscription recently came to an end so I renewed for another 3 years. However, with the first copy of my new subscription came a big surprise. Things had changed -big time! John Wegg (the main man behind it) and most of the regular staff had gone, and the format and content had markedly changed. There was no warning that this was going to happen, and it's not a change for the better to my mind either! The letters page is full of people praising the new look, so perhaps I'm just too set in my ways, but

Not quite, there is a slight difference to look out for. I've got a couple that have the early (satcom?) fairing, where the upper deck meets the top of the regular fuselage. I've also got a couple that don't have this. They all come with the ten window upper deck though. I'm not sure which boxes came with the fairing included, but I've a feeling they might have been the original Japan Air Lines (black and red cheatlines) and Air India. Dave
