  1. I recently completed an extensive reworking of an old classic, the 1/72 Monogram HU-16D Albatross. Among the many upgrades were a scratch built cockpit and rear crew compartment, and new metal gear struts. I finished it in the markings of a Navy search and rescue plane based at Midway Island in the mid-1960's.
  2. I just completed the 1/48 Hobby Boss FJ-4 Fury. Fit and surface detail are good, but it has some accuracy issues. Still, it looks the part when finished. I used decals from my spares catalog to depict a Reserve jet from NAS Memphis in 1962.
  3. I just finished an extensive upgrade to the old 1/72 Monogram HU-16. One of my references from that project, 'GRUMMAN ALBATROSS - A HISTORY OF THE LEGENDARY SEAPLANE', By Wayne Mutza, has a number of photos of UF-1's, but no interior shots. All the information I have indicated that the interior for all versions of the Albatross were painted an interior green color. I used Tamiya NATO Green for the cockpit and crew cabin on my model.   4. Hi - I'm looking for a set of decals that came in the Revell boxing of the 1/48 Monogram F9F-5P Panther. It's the markings for VU-1.
