Not a chance of happening with R/M these days. Hobbico's business strategy is to re-pop the old kits using existing molds. It's basically a cash cow for them. It's not part of the business plan to invest in new tooling. RevellAG is the only 'Revell' brand name issuing new-tool kits.

I thought the molds for the 'J' were revised when they did the 'D'.....thus making the 'J' kit more valuable since there was no going back....

I only had worked on this kit on and off for several years (so long ago i forgot when I really started it). I used eduard PE and there are lots of small PE pieces everywhere on this thing....too bad you can't see them in the pics. The intake was a real PITA and took forever to get done. Also ejector pin marks on the insides of ALL the gear doors and on the gear struts. So bad that filling them obliterates all the nice detail. However, the sadistic Eduard PE gives you parts to replace that lost detail....but they don't tell you how ***** tedious it is to actually install said PE. that's one of
