  1. Are you married Rick? If so I'm quite suprised (and thankful) your wife hasn't killed you yet!
  2. Well, after moving, the holidays and even a bit of overtime at work, I'd say its about time I give you guys an update! Nothing really big tonight though as the throttle quadrant is quite small and only halfway finished. The usual ingredients of styrene, stretched sprue and aluminum strips cut from a sacrificial soda can were applied. Thanks for looking.
  3. A very nice and relatively fast build Chris! :o
  4. Mine are too thanks to my recent move. You guys will just have to go by my old pics hehe.
  5. Wow those first couple of pics look just about real!
  6. I can see the pics and your work looks very convincing.
  7. Well not today but last sunday actually... Aero Master Battle of Britain Spitfire decals in 1/48 Eagle Strike 353 F.G Mustangs Part III decals in 1/48 Eagle Strike Blue Nose Birds of Bodney Part III decals in 1/72
  8. This. Is. So. COOL! Nice work Claude, very inspiring! :D
  9. Thanks Wing Nut and jug! Well I did some more work on the trim control housing. It is almost complete but I was so excited I couldn't wait to take a picture! Parts are mostly made from styrene and stretched sprue. Kitchen foil was used for the access covers (I need to add one more in fact) and the lever handles were made from strips cut from a soda can. Just a couple more touches on this part and then I can move on to the throttle quadrant! Thanks for looking.
  10. Thanks Marcin! Well, I finally took a pic of these trim knobs. Basically I used a punched disc from .010 styrene for the base, 1/16 rod and lots of stretched sprue glued around the sides to represent the finger grips. Took about a week to do these, but a lot of that time was trial and error and letting glue dry before trimming and sanding. I can't believe how tiny these are but I'm satisfied with how they look. Thanks for looking!
  11. Thanks TF! Progress is pretty slow right thanks to the mother-in-law basically living with us for the next month. Also the wife wants to move to a bigger apartment so I might be spending most of this month packing and moving *sigh*. I did however, manage to make new aileron and rudder trim knobs. Pics of those in the next update.
  12. I saw a license plate frame at a jobsite one day that read "Electricians do it with strippers and dikes" :o *NOTE: For those that don't know strippers and dikes are two very common electrical tools. ;)
  13. Uhh...due to my rather large stash (see the 'stash' thread) and the dry Southern California climate I live in, I keep the decals in the original boxes to avoid confusion. I do keep the aftermarket decals in a shoebox in a closet.
