Hello All
I am not sure if this allowed or if anyone can help me? My Neighbour is from the Ukraine. Apparently, her immediate family were caught in the first wave of the attack because they lived near the airport. She has no idea whether they alive or dead & hasn't been able to make contact. Does anyone know if there is anyone that might be able to help her? Thank you

Thank you both
That is a great help.
Scooby, I am used to our Police Dauphins. This one sounded & looked different. I was impressed. I wish I had gotten some photos. I was going to when he took off, but he shot off in the other direction obscured by trees.
Again thank you both

Hello All
Does anyone make a Augusta Westland AW-139? I have seen the Victorian Air Ambulance version (Australia) I would like to have a go at one, if one exists? Not fussed on scale, at the moment, just seeing if its available in a kit. Thanks

You can try with spray cans using rigid masks made of something like a manilla folder, slightly raised from the surface of the model. I remember reading about this in FSM back in the early 2000s. Since the mask is raised ever so slightly from the surface of the model, if you are careful you can get that soft edge you are looking for.
The other way I have seen is to use artist oils, and then you can blend the demarcation line since the paint takes so long to dry. There is a video on youtube where someone demonstrated this technique. I have not tried it, but it did look intriguing.
I really have no idea how you would achieve that look with normal hobby paints. In similar discussions in years past, it was discussed that there are a few master brush painters that can do it, but it is not easy.
Thank you Kurt, I try those in the future.

Hello All
I am wondering whether anyone can guide me on how to create soft edges between different color paints? Similar to an airbrush? I have few models I would like to try this effect on. For example the Euro 1 scheme on an A-10. Thanks

Hello All
Does anyone make aftermarket or generic decals for a 1:35 or 1:32 Scale Apache? I have the academy (Kangam) Apache. I dont like the grey scheme, I am happy with just the plain drab green. I am not sure the kit decals will work for the darker drab green. Thanks

There is a lot of options? maybe...Mind you I have never rented anywhere that has issue with me modelling. I know our local hobby store, does a meet & make on weekends. Maybe somewhere near by does the same? Depending on where you are renting is there an issue with you placing a small shed up? Maybe see if there is like minded person if they would mind sharing there space. Would building snap together models work whilst you are there? What about your workplace? Would they be willing to let you have a small space? Even letting people here know what area you are going too, there might be someone here who might be will to share space? Thanks

Thanks everyone for the guidance, I am going to try the lacquer paints. I have been using them for solid colors, might as well take the plunge & try camouflage.
Thanks
Ash.

Hello
I am by no means an expert in this field, but I have a few versions of the "My Achin A**" I don't believe there is other artwork on it, other than the lady on the fuselage, the A** on the nose, & the other lady on the landing gear cover. However the Landing gear cover maybe dependent on the pilot? Not sure if this helps? Thanks

I would go with option 2, maybe test matte coat, if you are not happy, maybe then strip & start over. As to what caused it, could it be the although humidity is regulated, that the temperature changed. I know that plays havoc with my models. As I am out in a shed with no temperature. But I am no expert. Thanks

I have three
For some reason Metallica's Outlaw torn gives me Goosebumps & a little sad, not sure why
another one is called "under the Milky Way" by the church
The last one is Sister golden hair by America, it just reminds me of an aunt that has now left us
With two other possibilities, being...
…Bare by Anthrax,
& Angel flying to close to the ground by Willie nelson
This is great question
Thanks

Yep, the old AMT speeder biker. Thanks for the guidance. Yes I was a little concerned around the hip area as well, it does seem very chunky. As he is spare, I don't mind trying something new. Thanks for the help

Thank you Luca
I have the DF-helostuff decals, which has lead to my confusion. The photos I have seen, show no anti-glare nose & a white roof (I think?) The DF-helostuff instruction's show these. But you are right & maybe I can speak to David & see if he can guide me. Thanks

To be honest, I am not sure. I suspect maybe military, as I believe it was within the first week of the attack. It is near a border. Not sure which one? Obviously, I dont want to push her too hard. I was really hoping just to get a list of places that could help her in her search. Thanks
