  1. I retired a few years back. I could afford to keep buying kits but I already had more than I could ever build. In fact, for the first couple of years, I was selling kits to reduce the stash and focusing on just a couple of eras/countries. All I buy now are paints and supplies as needed plus the odd decal sheet. What I do find difficult is resisting all the new releases coming from Airfix (Sabre, Swift, Phantom, Buccaneer, Canberra, etc, etc) but, so far, I have managed to hold out and still plan to build what's in the stash. David
  2. It's good to see this oldie being built. Coming together nicely. David
  3. Either would do but Xtradecal would be preferred. I can buy or have a few things to trade. I am in Florida. David
  4. I love the result achieved using that Airfix oldie! Especially built as if 'in flight'. BTW - what is that stand? David
  5. Thanks but I just also measured the chord at the root of the Heller wing. 10ft. So does that mean it is an early slatted one after all and not a 6-3? David
  6. I know this thread is from years ago but I am researching building an RAF Sabre from the Heller kit. I just measured its wingspan and it's just over 37'. So, as Dave F said, it looks like it's intended to be the Canadair Mk6 wing 6-3 with slats. Not the extended span 39' wing. David
  7. This is aimed mostly at our UK members but open to all. I am running out of Marmite and Branston. Yes, I can buy them in my local supermarket - see, the USA is not as uncivilized as some of you thought - but at a pretty steep price. Since I am going to the UK on May 21, I will be stocking up there and so I need to take a suitcase. I won't be able to fill it with Marmite and Branston because of their weight but I should manage to bring home a few months supply. So, I will have space in the suitcase on my way to the UK. Most of what I want to sell from my stash is UK stuff an
  8. I've always had a soft spot for the Jaguar and especially that old Airfix kit of it. You've done a great job there. David
  9. I've been going there since the early 90s. Now on the 3rd location in my time of dealing with them. I moved out of Ottawa in 1999 but go back at least yearly and always make a visit. Friendly and knowledgeable and a great supporter of the hobby. David
  10. ALL THE PRICES SHOWN ARE MY ASKING PRICES BUT I AM OPEN TO REASONABLE OFFERS ESPECIALLY ON MULTIPLE PURCHASES. I am in Florida. I will consolidate multiple purchases and pack and weigh to confirm actual postage costs to buyer before asking for payment. I mail out once or twice per week. I accept Paypal or Money Orders. Thank you for looking. David MODELS Will post models at cost. Typical cost of First Class mail for a single model within USA (lower 48 states) is $7 and to UK or Australia is $15-17. The kits marked with an * will cost a little more because they are larger or heavy. 1/
  11. Rob - it's hard to believe that's 1/144 but I have to admit that even in 1/100, such detail would probably be beyond me. Thanks David
  12. Good thought - thanks. I also just thought that there may be some cheapo 1/100 snap-tites with pilots that I could steal. Perhaps not as good a thought but yes, I did laugh. Thanks David
  13. I have 3 of the lovely Tamiya 1/100 jets but I want to build them 'in flight' and they come with no aircrew. Does anybody have a suggestion as to where I may find suitable seated figures, please? David
  14. Nice job. I've always liked the lines of the Mig-19. David
  15. You might try Schloss Hohenwerfen. It was used as the Schloss Adler in "Where Eagles Dare'. Near there you can also find the stunning Eisriesenwelt ice cave but be warned the tour has a lot of steps and it's cold in there! The Berchtesgarden area is worth a side trip but not much wartime stuff left there. There is the "Eagle's Nest and the famous elevator. If you like an exciting drive, drive the GrossGlockner High Alpine Road. As for Salzburg itself, I couldn't get enough of walking around taking in Mozart and Sound of Music sites! David
  16. Replaced by new listing Feb 10
