  1. Hi all Some time ago I saw s profile in book. It was an all black Corsair made from spare parts on an Island then rebuild and used as a photo recon aircraft by an USMC unit. I remember only the number 894 in white on the fuaelage. Any help? Best regards Peter N

  3. hi all here is my HB Jug build fix straight from the box to exercise myself in painting with alclad. the whole kit was painted with tam x-1 glossy white and then some parts are taped over and painted with x-2 glossy black. then the complete sufrace was polished with a wet dirt-eraser-sponge. so no fluff has a chance. the complete kit was painted with alclad alluminum. now you can see threw the alclad paint the areas which are darker. all other markings are masked and painted after that. all weathering was made with revell color stop fluid. its in my opinion the best because it has no te
  4. hi all the kit is nice. not the best but for ca.11 euro its worth the money. some parts like the wheels and maybe the prop (for another Block version)are to replace. the wing pylons are sadly forgotten completely :)/>/> so you need some from another kit. when you build so much Thunderbolts like me, you will have these parts from a tamyia Thunderbolt, which was/will be build as a D-2/D-5 version maybe... the fitting is excellent. the engraved lines are very crisp and not to deep. only the points for immitated screws and plugs are missing...completely. but in 30min they are pointed
  5. hi all here is my 48 scale Monogram Hornet. its completely new engraved. its painted strict to a photo in a Military Aircraft issue with an article about the last Australian/Indonesian maneuver. now I'm searching for some low viz Australian decals. I want paint some PLAF kill markings... an article on Whatifmodelers.com about the Chinese invasion was the idea behind it... comments? http://www.modellbaugilde.de/phpbb/download/file.php?id=786 http://www.modellbaugilde.de/phpbb/download/file.php?id=787 http://www.modellbaugilde.de/phpbb/download/file.php?id=788 http://www.modellbaugilde

  7. hi all Im building the academy kit right now and now I have the question about the type of the CFT´s used during this raid. was it delivered from the USAF or was it the type build in Israel? and...when it was the type build in the US so how many attachment points was mounted on each CFT? I have some photos of Israeli build CFT´s from one of the last Military Aicraft issues. thanks for any help!! Peter
  8. sadly without the CFT´s... so i will build still my Academy F-15E to a D from the Wooden Leg operation in 1985. Im now on rebuild the academy cft´s to the Israeli type... although I dont think the IAF has these so quickly from their own Israeli production...
  9. hi all what is the story behind this box cover? did the Taiwanese pilots shot down Chinese/Russian aircrafts during their duty? many thanks for any help Peter http://www.zinnfigur.com/images/6/3/6007_HF48003.JPG
  10. hasegawa included in his F-4G issue a frame with another (F-15?) tank. propably he meant it was used during the Vietnam conflict too? many thanks dor this link! its better than porno :)
  11. hi all a guy who is from time to time in our local hobby shop sayed to me, he saw photos of F-15 wing tanks under the belly of an USAF Phantom during the end phase of the Vietnam War... he meant its well grounded because the Eagle was flew since 1972... and it was a Wild Weasel Phantom...what is more than unbelivable because the WW V was first in use from 1978 as I know... but he claimed he is a fan of the Phantom and must to know it better. so Im asking here now if he is in right? he showed me a photo of a F-4G shot (in an issue of Smoke Trails), made propably during an end 70ties war ga
