Kittyhawk / Panda just announced on Facebook they are closing down

I would be happy to see the old KH UH-1D kit released. There was a very long thread on ARC about the development of that kit. Floyd Werner IIRC was involved in that process. -
Gen. Tlavok, the one the Lynn Ritger recommend posters block on HS.

Wow, huge detail missing. The Oil Slick...

Pretty immaculate Osprey. Nice -
I have to agree about a new 1/48 B-17. I would throw in a new tool B-24, B-25, B-26 and B-29/B-50. Also 1/48 Neptune, SR-71. A new tool Helldiver would be nice, along with a new TBM. The AM molds won't last forever!

Weirdest looking Chinook I've every seen...

It would be nice to get a new tool B-26. A man can dream...

It's a reissue with new decals. Which includes Flak Bait. From what I understand, it's a nice kit.

I just saw a post on HS that Tony Matteliano pasted away.

What's that white stuff all over the place? -
Squadron was diappointing. I only picked the new Airfix Mustang, everything else out of stock that I was looking for or more expensive than Sprue even with the discount. I did well at Sprue, all told saved about $50 and free shipping.

Stephen, no holding out on us. How does it look?

I think the box art could have been a bit better. All the black is what makes it a little wonky to me. And I am also patiently waiting for this to be released, it's on my notification list at Scalehobbist.

One of the best scenes every was Jerry Lewis running over Spencer Tracy's hat in Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. No lines, just the look on his face and his goofy laugh. -
The best of... is there a directory?
Beauslx replied to thewildscrotum's topic in General Discussion
There is Scalemates, which is searchable. It provides links to reviews and accessories for the different kits. It's not always 100% up to date, but still a pretty decent resource. https://www.scalemates.com/ -

Unfortunately the LHS for modelers is going the way of the Dodo. My LHS is now primarily RC, they have an ok selection of kits but supplies are spotty at best. The kits they do have are typically over priced vs online shopping, not to mention better choices. Paint, aftermarket parts, decals all cheaper online with better selection. Don't get me wrong, I love going to the LHS and browsing the kits, talking to the staff or fellow modelers. And the shops just have that certain smell of old cardboard and paint. But when it come to bang for the buck, online hands down.

What's the worst kit you ever built? (60s-today)
Beauslx replied to baronred3's topic in General Discussion
Hands down it has to be the Testors 1/48 SR-71 Blackbird kit. If I remember correctly I use most of a tube of squadron green putty on that thing. In the end it did defeat me. -
The Scale Model Critique Group and ARC.

It may just be me, but even their mission statement strikes me as rude. -
Along with Lexington, Saratoga and Yorktown for CVN-81, 82 and 83. At least that's my thinking
