  1. Thank you Rod very much. I'm sure there are many better builds on shelves, but with my skill level at the moment,I'm pretty please with it. I will do AH-6J , already got kit, aftermarket (CMK)... It will look nice side by side with this bird. But first,I plan to build SR-71. This will be my next project. Italeri 1/72 kit,Eduard PE and lots and lots of schratch building,rescribing... :) As MH-60K is the best looking heli,SR-71 is the apsolute badass plane ever build,IMHO. Huey,I promise I will do it,Vietnam era,but it will wait a little. At the moment I even don't know what kit ,aftermark
  2. Great work Tim! Btw, can you please clarify something for me. Looking at the reference pictures, rotor head of MH-60 is ordinary black paint. But everyone that build it,paint it with some metalizer paint, like Dark Iron or simular. Which is correct in the end?
  3. Backdrop? You mean background picture? It's just some random image from google.
  4. Few more pics...last one just for fun :)/> Images taken under lamp light,so it has green hue, real color is on the last image (CS6 helped to achieve it).
  5. I wrote it all in the first post Tim,please look at it,you got picture also. That's easy part, collect all aftermarket parts. But to implement it all on the model, that's another story :) And you will need to do lots of scratch building. But I'm sure you will feel very proud on yourself when you finnish that gorgeous bird. Btw, I build Kilo version, you will need aftermarket for Mike.
  6. Thank you all for very kind words,it gives me motivation to finnish it with maximal effort I can achieve. Main problem , Italeri base kit is a joke. And all this aftermarket staff,it's not so easy to implement it. Plus, lots of scratch building aside. Then painting and weathering...sounds easier than it is in reality :) But, accuracy wise, my Kilo model is pretty spot on,I gave lot of effort in it. (as I could in 1/48 scale) I hope I will not screw up with build to follows :)
  7. More progress... Tried to add pigments,as this bird worked in desert ambient. Must admit I'm not happy ,don't know,I don't feel it... Also, problems with glass parts, not fogging, but dirty overall, don't know how to deal with it. And small things overall,I want to be better, but I wasn't able to achieve it. Hope I will correct some things, lot more work needs to be done.
  8. He's a cheater. He was born with 2 pair of hands, and has naturally master the engineering and art :)
  9. Thank you all for the support,I really appriciate it. Rivets... Weel,IMHO the Archer AR88014 is just perfect for 1/48 work. I did discover that is best to apply it direct to bare plastic. If tried on primer or paint,it will not stick good enough. But on bare plastic, helped with Micro sol, you can without worries handling the model covered with rivets. But just in case, you can spray it fith future or primer... Rivets will be visible even after few coats of primer, paint,no need to worry about that :)
  10. Nato black,mixing with white,lots of shades.
  11. Some work done, lot more to go. Painting a little, tried to brake down black color and represent accurate one. (this is just beggining)
  12. Thank you all for the help ,I really appriciate it.
  13. Hi, Can someone please help me with this. I would like to know what color do you use to paint F-14 antennas ? (like one on beaver tail) It's some kind of biege color, can you tell me some paint numbers from Tamiya or Model Air? Thank you in advance. Woody
  14. Work in progress. Nato Black as primer, few details added, many more to go. Sorry for bad pictures, done at night, artifical light...
  15. I build it in 1/48 ,and I'm really happy to see someone will do it in bigger scale. Best wishes !
  16. First coat of black, just to see how it's look. Without sensors, antennas, etc.
  17. Side antenna, not so easy with PE parts, but I manage to somehow get descent and accurate shape for Kilo. Front glass elements, nightmare. Fit is terrible, don't know how well I will manage to make it descent.
  18. Working on Hirss. Using Coca Cola can :) It's much in scale then kit plastic. Not so easy to make tiny U-shape blocks. Fitting glass parts on this kit is nightmare. Nothing fits. I tried to do my best with Micro Crystal Clear.
  19. My expirience with it is very positive. I apply it just like any other decal, plenty of water, place it right, and leave for 5 minutes to dry. After that I put first coat of Micro Sol, and after 10 minutes, another coat of Micro Sol. Next day, I can handle it absolutely normal. Not a single rivet come off, move,or anything like that. But,as Norbert mention,to be extra sure, you can coat it with Future or prime it.
  20. Continue to work on rivets. It doesn't look like much, all mess, but this is just a stage in process :)
  21. Using Archer resin rivets now. Plan is to cover heli all over with it. Still lots of work, many problems, but step by step,I hope it will be ok in the end. On this kit, nothing is accurate, you must do it all by yourself, research, scratch build a lot, etc.
  22. Adding panel lines, lots of PE,etc. First stage
