Is there a method that helps with trimming and cutting etched parts and what type of glue is best for etched parts? I have a I-File touch n flo system, is that the proper glue or should I use something like super glue ? JYD

I ran into a issue. I thought I had mixed enough paint to do all of what I needed. Turns out I was wrong. I have a idea of the mixture but I am concerned about color consistency non the less. When you guys mix paint to you overmix and use a lot of paint or do you depend on your skill to mix the colors the same time after time ? JYD

ACE I plan on using the X-20A I think for the acrylics since I already have some on hand. I plan on mostly using MM enamels as they are relatively available in both variants and supply at my local Hobby Lobby (local is a relative term 8) ) Thanks bud for the heads up and thanks to everyone whom has been so very helpful on theses forums, I am very happy I stumbled onto this site. It would have taken me forever to learn all this and also probably would have spent a lot of cash learning from brutal mistakes. JYD

Ok the Regdab and stopcock I am unfamiliar with can I purchase these at a hardware store ?

I went to a ACE hardware store and purchased a good grade lacquer thinner for cleaning my brushes, bottles etc...This is some really good and pure stuff, is it safe to clean my Airbrush with it as well. I use both enamels and acrylics so can I use that or do I need to use only my Tamiya X-20a for AB cleaning. ANY helpful advice on thinners and such is greatly appreciated so I do not wreck any of my new equipment. Thank you gents , JYD

Also know you can take your wife, Girlfriend , best friend ETC and literally use the coupon once per person per purchase. The same coupon is useable by multiple people on the same day so take a friend and load up on stuff. That's what I did, got a I-file touch glue set for about 8 bucks and some nice sand papers for about 4-5$ just by handing my phone to my friend and he can use the exact same coupon. The local Hobby Lobby here carries tons of great tools and kits , I just bought a 40$ B-29 Kit for 24$. Its on anything including some of their upper end airbrushes and compressors. Will the X-20A thinner work with enamels as well as acrylics ? Ive X-20 A thinner and I have The Ab cleaner. I have acquired a mixture of both enamles and acrylics. Are there and MAJOR Do and Don't with these products mixing wise and such I should be aware of ?Like I said this is a new area, just returning to building and have never used a Airbrush outside of the AMAZING AIR can propelent I bought to try out, its a testors product and convinced me to give Ab a try. Ok so I finally have settled in and have all my equipment. In the end I have a Hobbico Aircompressor, a paasche air brush, a Iwata cleaning station and a good amount of accessories I needed to begin airbrushing. I am hoping to learn more through a model club I recently found near my area(still 1.5 hour drive). A question or two, What should I fill the Cleaning station with solution wise and do I need to break down my brush after every use or should I use my airbrush cleaning solution (Tamiya cleaner for AB) and make sure it sprays clear ? The print is on the elevator of a 1/48 B-24. Im hoping a light sanding since it is the first coat may hide it. There is no real weathering at the spot where it resides. JYD

Do I need to remove the paint and redo to fix a fingerprint or is there some trick you guys use to get rid of one ? JYD

Thank you gentlemen! While learning to AB I will continue with the old Brush and spray cans of Tamiya. Its going to take some time but with all the solid tips I receive here and practice I should be able to start in a couple weeks with at least some decent confidence. As cold as it is its hard to paint anything right now . JYD
