I picked this kit up recently, and would recommend getting either the Nautilus fuselage brace(Wood), or the 3D printed one from Flying Leatherneck. I got the 3D one, and it is worth every penny! Now, if someone would just do something about that hump...

Anyone use this company’s 3D prints? MPM Hobbies, any good?
IAGeezer replied to is it windy yet?'s topic in Jet Modeling
I ordered some 1/48th ordnance, M-118x2, SUU-30x2, LAU-10x2 from MPM in '23, and it came quickly, and seem to be well made and detailed. My experience, I am in no affiliated with them. -
Just want to share what I picked up over the weekend; Punch right sized holes in aluminum foil, then put on a drop of UV glue, then cure! Brilliant!

MV Lenses were very nice, but now out of production, right? Little-lenses from the UK are no longer being made - SO - Does anybody make Clear and Colored lenses anymore?

Those are BRUs

Looks Great! Thank you!

Any sneak peeks of the Dark Vipers V?

It does!

I can't help with the OPs question, but I agree about the Monogram Thud. The real A/C has an ogive, Mono provides a cone. I made myself crazy over a fix until I simply added a .030 shim on the BACK side to eliminate that step between fuselage and cone, filled the pitot hole in the front, and filed the fwd half to taper to a point. Now the length is correct for the cone itself. I then drilled a hole, and inserted new pitot made from 1mm Albion NiSilver tube, with a needle in the end. A better modeler may have come up with a more elegant solution, but this is what I did. Cheers!

Thanks everyone for the help. It's appreciated!

The things one learns. Thank you. So, does anyone make an aftermarket Optical Sight Unit for an F-4, or the Combiner glass for an F-14D, and possibly B model? 1/48th, again.

Arrived in yesterdays mail, and it looks to be a great read!
-
Does anyone make them? I've still got a stack of Monogram and ESCI kits to build!

Two Bobs decals say FS 17875, which MRP calls White. Jake Melampy's F-16 book says they are "A very, very light shade of gray." AMS strikes again!

Hear hear!! I will second that!

LF: 1/48th F-16 Pylons
IAGeezer replied to IAGeezer's topic in The Spares Box - add scale to your title
Thanks! Actually, the pylons with the TERS attached. Looks like parts C5, C6 and C10. I'd be happy to pay for them! -
For Station 3/7, want to load up some HARMs.

Thanks Dave. I saw a drawing for a proposed F-16XL Wild Weasel, and it got me to wondering about it. Thanks for the clarification!

Was a dual HARM launcher developed for any US aircraft? And, has one been made in 1/48th scale?

Thanks @achterkirch and @RichB63! My search-foo was not so strong here. I just looked up 68-0040 in my copy of the Don Logan F-111 book, and it is listed as having both The Other Woman at Upper Heyford(87-88), and Magnificent Marsha while at Sacramento ALC(88-89). Last F-111E lost, 16 Feb '95 at Cannon AFB. At this point, I would guess it has the Sacramento triangle on the tail - I think this is one unusual 'Vark! And the obsessing begins...
-
Asking for help to identify this particular 'Vark. It has (White?) TP II intakes, Astro tracker hump, black undersides and short wings... I cannot figure out the Unit, by the patches (One has California on it. Sacramento?) the crew is wearing, or the location by the hangar. Test bird??? And interesting nose art. Might make an interesting build! Any help is appreciated.
