  1. I enjoy sitting down in the morning with some of the local farmers at the gas station. We sit around, pay for one cup of coffee, drink 3 more, and fix all the nation's problems, and generally don't listen to each other.... then go back to the farm. Seems oddly familiar. -Scott
  2. Thanks for the heads up, I'm looking forward to this sheet. Now I've got enough time to check the piggy bank....
  3. Someday we'll all be able to put our arms around our grand-children's shoulders, point to this thread, puff up our chests and say, "Here's where the battle took place, Son, and Grandpa did his part. For you, and future generations!".
  4. The story so far.... 10 each kits have been sent out to Asian and US builders, as demo kits, and are being built Beautifully as I type this. If the problem with the rear fuselage is indeed as bad being said on ARC (And oozing onto other forums from here), then maybe Jeff at Hypersonic needs to be called, so he can do a correction set as he has done on the Z-M F-4 series. That is all... - IAGeezer, patiently waiting for the phone call from Bob at Victory.
  5. Rail or pylon? I was a knuckle dragger, and I confuse easily.
  6. Thanks Dave. Scripture? Really?
  7. Looks horrible and unbuildable, so don't buy it.... Just for a giggle, I blew up these pictures, held my old Monogram kit up to them, and the curve with White line attached(Aren't you supposed to use Red?) is an exact match to the 39(?) year-old Monogram kit... The whole "Big hips" rant has been a non-issue. Let the flames and self justification begin...
  8. Fretting over pictures for 80-90 pages. It will be nice to see the plastic in the - plastic.
  9. Super Scale also did a sheet, 48-857, which is for a VF-74 F-4J from USS America, 1972. It's not an F4H-1 from USS Forrestal, BUT, it does, however, have the big red lightning bolts for fuselage and wing tanks. I did pick up the Furball sheet (48-006) and will use the USS Forrestal and stars and bars from it. The SS sheet has Huge wing insignia! Then there is the problem of the data above the burner cans..... Ugh. You are right, we need an update for early USN Phantoms.
  10. AND no resin intake set has the 11.5" TP II fuselage offset Mr Vark mentions. I'm looking at my FB- and surveying all the work that chore entails, and how far along I am with it..... let's just say that my skills are, erm, growing...
  11. Looks awful. I'll take 2 please!!
  12. Thanks Ken. Good to do business with you!
  13. Will buy junk kit, or stash kit, I just need the darn thing! -Scott
  14. Don't know if this helps, but, the Squadron/Signal B-17 In action (1984) shows, on pg 38, 2 B-17F-75-DLs with chin turret, and small cheek windows. States that these were a carry-over from the YB-40 program. Later saying that the last 86 Douglas built F models had them. Also, bulged cheek windows were introduced on the Douglas Block-25, Vega Block-35, and the Boeing Block-60 G-models. Hope this helps this very informative discussion. -Scott
