  1. Hi guys, I just fixed the broken photo links. Sorry for that, I think I had left them there for too long but now the new links are on.
  2. I am a fanatic air enthusiast and model airplane builder so I do not really belong here. My latest model is a UC-64A Norseman which I decided to put on a base with a grassy ground layer along with "something else" other than the well-worn figures, barrels, Jeeps, pets etc. A bicycle sounded like an original idea so after a brief and disappointing reviewing of all the available kit options I decided to scratch built one. It is not armor but it is not aircraft either so I decided to put it here. I hope you will enjoy the photos :
  3. Hi there, I am currently building the Revell UC-64A Norseman kit in 1/72nd. https://www.scalemates.com/products/product.php?id=102251 The box art depicts an aircraft from the 320th Transport Squadron (27th Transport Group), France 1944. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/427th_Aircraft_Sustainment_Group I could not find any photo of this particular aircraft. Furthermore all the olive drab/neutral gray painted checkerboard Norsemans of the 320th had fourfold yellow/black bands on the upper tail section instead of the threefold white/black bands that Revell suggests. I am looking for evidence (ei
  4. Hi there, Re-scribing over putty is actually very easy: I use MR HOBBY (GUNZE SANGYO) MR SURFACER 500 LIQUID or SPRAY. The "magic trick" is simple: multiple soft sweeps of the scribing tool - the first ones being even softer than the rest but you should be careful not to overdo it. Usually 5-6 sweeps are enough for the 48th and after the first three ones any template used is removed so that you'll be having a better look on the surface and a better judgement. cheers
  5. There is no confusion Ken. It's just a discussion. That's what forums are for. Aren't they? So, thank you for your input.
  6. Moving on to some more in-progress pics: to be continued...
  7. Hi guys, I am not really sure what is wrong with the kit's intakes. Maybe Flankerman can provide some more details since he raised the issue in the first place. But if the problem is the tilt to the vertical I think Trumpeter has got it right. Have a look at a (poor) photo of the finished model:
  8. You guessed right. The landing speed of this beast was very high. 290km/h - maybe more! PS - I did not put the covers on the nozzles. I placed them beside the aircraft (on the model's base) instead.
  9. Now to some more WIP pics: to be continued...
