  1. Hi Laurent Eduard have announced their entry into the 1/72 MiG-21 world... http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234974059-172-mig-21-fishbed-by-eduard/ I wonder which order they will release the variants? Aaron
  2. Hi Not having access to actual aircraft [ I am in New Zealand] I am quite reliant on the photo walkarounds at scalemodels.ru and appreciate the efforts you put into identifying the limits of some of the MiG-21 kits. I too cannot see why the RV kit would have such errors when the subject aircraft is so accessible. But nevertheless we have what we have at the moment and for about 25USD landed in New Zealand the RV MiG kits give me nice OOB kit to start from. I mostly model Soviet versions so the Hungarian option isn't such an issue with me. Nor is the bis nose issue outlined by another ARCer, L
  3. Thanks for taking the time to show these issues Gabor. Out of the box I have found the RV MiGs to be nice little kits - but nevertheless an interesting number of issues with the bis version [ I only have the SMTs at the moment but will probably get an RV bis when $$ allow]. Cheers
  4. Ekkk at 300USD I think I will be scratchbuilding an intake cover myself....always seen that intake as the worst of the issues with the kit - the rest I can kind of live with.....esp if that's the cost of changing it :)/>
  5. JDAMs and some newly tooled featherless exhausts would be most welcome.
  6. I built this kit and it appears to be a basic remould of the Academy Su-27 done quite badly in places. I think it was also sold under the Trumpeter brand a fair while back. I used mine as a testing ground for removing seams/painting practice. If you look carefully at some of the more detailed scribing [i.e. hatches] it does look like it was done by hand. From memory the nose area needs a lot of work. Very similar to the Ki-tech versions of the Academy F-111 kits.
  7. Ivan [from Modelsua] is a good guy to deal with. I was thinking the only negative I have found with the Art kits to date is the rather soft plastic, I managed to crack/split the leading edge of the wing glove on the MiG-23UB kit, but apart from that it's been all good. The Armory upgrades available are nice too - wheels, resin etc.
  8. I have their Su-25UTG, it goes together very much like the Modelsvit Su-7s - a step up from Amodel kits. Great selection of markings to choose from. I like them, although the single moulded pink-coloured resin cockpit at first threw me a little, with a closed cockpit it doesn't ruin the kit in my view. A Su-25 is next on the buying list for 2015. They are pretty competitively priced for what you get [at least via Modelsua]. Aaron
