Thumbs up from me. Agree Agree Agree. This was an exercise in how to make an SJW movie. Could they fit more diversity into a movie. For god sake give me the last camp scene of Blazing Saddles any day.

Glad to see we mostly agree that TLJ was a pile of doggy doo. Rogue One was a good Star Wars movie, TFA was an ok Star Wsrs movie. TLJ for me was a Star Wars movie in name only. Just as the lastest effort in the Star Trek universe. Discovery is Star Trek in name only.

Which kit do people think is best? The Kittyhawk has more brass bits but the Meng is supposed to be more detailed? Looking to buy this weekend Thanks for your thoughts Peter

Looks good

I'll just use shirtbox plastic for the windows. I guess the decals will sort of make them more realistic. Have since noticed the engine tubing is seperate. I guess I'll see what they come out like. For the bay flow I though maybe felt would look ok?

LEGO's NASA Apollo Saturn V - Real Space Modeling for Kids
Aussie-Pete replied to spaceman's topic in Real Space Modeling
Was lucky enough to get one of the Saturn V. Now hopefully they will do the LUT and crawler. Seems a logical step for Lego. My first ever lego kit BTW at 52 :o (we was too poor for lego :( ) -
Thanks for the help guys Hotdog I bought it long ago but believe it's a Monogram. I bought the beanie cap and resin engines before. But has been too lazy in finishing. Am impressed to see how well oven cleaner removed the old paint :o I think I remember you were developing your decals when I was last here? How much for the tiles or PM me for details thanks

Hi All It's been a while since my last visit. Have found a renewed desire to complete my 1/72 shuttle. Am currently removing the old paint using oven cleaner (works a treat) But will be in need of new decals. Where are people getting replacement decals from? Cheers Peter

Thanks Maybe I'll leave it the mat finish. But I believe they were either gloss or semi gloss in service?

Hey guys need some help with satin clear I have built a 1/48 Tamiya corsair. painted in gloss navy blue but wanted satin finish. So tonight I gave it a coat of satin clear and it's turned out very mat clear instead. I used humbrol satin clear thinned with cellulose thinner at 1:1 which I have used many times before. Should I repeat with satin clear thinned with white spirits? Thanks Peter
