White Landing gear and wheel bays.....Ugh!
Sir Fondlebottom replied to KENT B's topic in Jet Modeling
I use Vallejo Model Air White, straight from the bottle as it's pre thinned for airbrush and apply two, sometimes three thin coats. It dries almost instantly when hitting the surface so the coats are done almost immediately and it won't run anywhere. I've usually primed with Mr Surfacer 1000 or 1200 before, but any light grey would do. -

It's supposed to be "Soviet" The kit is so old that it's made with no real references available. The Zvezda is the Dragon molds, so not the same and probably better. Personally I'd go with Trumpeter or the new Meng, if I'd be building the ESCI/ERTL/AMT one I'd just not care what it is trying to be and build it generic soviet, just not worth the headache to go accurate with it. Here's a thread that mentions the kits, the thread predates the Trumpeter and Meng offerings http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/3/t/139343.aspx and here's a buildup! http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/

Oh bad wording on me I just noticed, with the "all" part I meant the other makes he mentioned (all the same kit). Zvezda is apparently the Dragon kit even though Scalemates doesn't say so, and the same for the Italeri offering.

All but the Tamiya T-72 was designed before the Soviet Union collapsed and are really full of errors. Personally I'd wait for the Meng T-72 or grab the Tamiya one which is apparently accurate for a specific East German version. http://www.meng-model.com/new.php?id=580 http://armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=167913&page=1

I'd like to see some real analytics instead of people commenting about user visits and retention without a real clue on the matter, I'd bet it wouldn't be pretty. https://gyazo.com/5b661444e073415a5389fad2620d1fda https://www.similarweb.com/website/arcforums.com

ARC - browser warning of suspected Phishing
Sir Fondlebottom replied to seiran01's topic in General Discussion
Well you dumped that pesky Avast that is doing its job and bought McAfee, which is not showing you the warnings that it should? Great buy! :monkeydance:/> -
Avast is now actively blocking the site citing HTML:Script-inf and URL:Mal2 coming to a total of 51 blocks.

This is Google's Safe Browsing initiative, it's used by their own Chrome browser as well as Firefox. There's no question about if it is, they literally tell you when using their transparency report site. It's the www.arcforums.com domain, the main site is not affected.

It's Googles Safe Browsing that's flagging it https://www.google.com/transparencyreport/safebrowsing/diagnostic/#url=http://www.arcforums.com I bet it's the malware redirect that never got fixed

Tanks with working suspension
Sir Fondlebottom replied to Sgt Shultz II's topic in Armor General Discussion
You need to look up reviews on the specific kits to be sure though. I'm building the new Takom T-55 AMV at the moment and had to do surgery to pose the suspension.
