  1. Thank's for the nice comment. Actually i think the kit would only be a few dollars cheaper without engines keeping in mind they are the "2009" Merlin's from the spit with new supercharger's but i see your point having said that i'm glad i have both Merlin's Cheers Lee.
  2. Thank's Zac i'm glad you like it. Cheers Lee.
  3. Colin really nice overall finish man good job weathering too just get the mechanic to check the tire pressure after he finishes his Joint. Lee.
  4. Beautiful work Joel the radio's and Eduard IP really make a huge difference. Cheers Lee.
  5. Thanks Joel i appreciate that i sure used to be bad for the old rust treatment. The exact method i painted the exhaust's is using Mr Color 8 Silver & Mr metal Color 215 Copper. ( 95% Silver and 5% Copper ) then i used a black & brown wash to tone it all down And finally drybrushed the exhaust tips with white to simulate the carbon deposit's.
  6. Hi Jennings thank's for checking out my build i agree i think as model builder's some of us try to be a little too artistic Cheers Lee.
  7. Hi all just before i start on the wings here's the complete nacelles and the two complete 1,610hp Merlin 25's it is quite a big job building these two as one can imagine but well worth just taking the time and enjoying it I'm looking forward now to see the wings come to life........... Back soon with the wing build Cheers Lee.

  11. Thank's Jamie It truly is an amazing sound isn't it. Cheers Lee.
  12. Thank's again Joel i'm glad the exhaust's give that impression the look of the exhaust's play a pig part in the look of a ww2 warbird in my opinion Cheers Lee.
  13. Joel i predict another masterpiece in the making first class work with the scratch building mate I'm looking forward to your updates Cheers Lee.
  14. Dam'n dude you like to give yourself a challenge don't you haha !!!! I like the way you used plasticine on the seat good thinking. Tamiya epoxy putty is for that purpose aswell it also dries like plastic after a couple of hours and you can sand or cut it too anyways i'm watching with interest again. Oh any luck with the P51 that sucks no decals.
  15. Hi back with a quick update after painting the semi complete Merlin's and the mounts also the exhaust pipes were painted silver mixed with copper color then given a wash of black and brown. I also used the Mig chipping fluid on the engines it may be a little overdone but ill see how it looks when the engine's are properly installed in the nacelles ect. So i'm just adding the finishing touches to the engines and then its on to the large wings. Cheers Lee......
