All due respect for your enthusiasm, but your recent, allegedly full-throated announcements have been regularly leading to this kind of discussion, we are witnessing right now. How about a new strategy? Less pompous announcements + supçon of modesty + actual, palpable products living up to the hallelujah = Bob's your uncle.   4. The radome is coated (not painted) in shade equivalent to BS381 626 aka BS626 "Camouflage Grey". BS = British Standard. IPMS Stockholm Color Reference Chart BS381 626, e-paint.co.uk The topcoat of British Typhoons also corresponds to BS626. Compared to the airframe's BS626 topcoat, the shade of the radome's coating sticks out slightly, being somewhat duller in sheen and, depending on the lighting conditions, BS626 may exhibt a lighter or darker hue. A dummy version of the pod in question was labeled "T220" and the prototype is developed by OAO NPK SPP (Joint Stock Company, "Scientific and Production Corporation Precision Instruments Systems"). During trials, the THALEs pod reportedly excelled its indigenous counterparts. To date, the French Damocles pod has been certified for the Su-30MK family, Malaysia being the lead customer.   19. Hi Brad, It's really hard to set oneself at a specific/definitive colour. In general, photo quality is too poor to draw any significant conclusions about the actual clours used. The only types of MiG-21s to be known of having been delivered in factory-applied camouflage are the Gorky-built EAF/SyAF MiG-21MF, R and very early SyAF MiG-21bis.   20. I've been using multiple airbrushes for a couple of years. One for the fancywork, and another one for primers and varnishes. Usually former "fancyworkers" being "relegated" to the second rank. It has become a proven practise - at least in my experience. Currently, I'm using a ten-year-old Iwata HP-C Plus (0.3 nozzle) for primers and varnishes including Future. When it comes to paint, though, I'm using an Iwata HP-CH HiLine (0.3) and a Micron CM-C with a 0.23 nozzle.
