  1. Saw one on Ebay a while ago but missed out but will keep looking. Thanks for the help
  2. Awesome thanks guys. Darren is the Steel Beach Block 125 update set the right thing I'd need to build the base A model kit into one from say late 80s to early 90s?
  3. Awesome thanks for the help. Probably either a VF-143 A+ from 91 or a VF-74 B from 92 using the Furball sheet
  4. I've got the Tamiya F-14 A and D kit and was wondering which is easiest to build into an early 90s F-14B? Thanks
  5. High guys getting ready to start a Hasegawa F/A-18E with Afterburner Decals for the shark mouth VFA-27 CAG. Do have one main question before I start and that's what's best to punch out the pylon holes on the wings? Thanks
  6. Thanks Bill I'll give that a shot. Its always been the part I've struggled with the most.
  7. Was wondering what you guys all find is the closest out of the can for metal areas on jets specifically the F-4, 14, 15, 16, and 18 mainly the engine areas etc. Thanks
  8. Yeah I'm using the Furball sheet. Thanks guys always a great help when looking for things like this.
  9. Thanks guys. Looking at a VF-51 jet from 89 right now so I'll do some more research on that particular airframe.
  10. I have a Tamiya F-14A in the stash and was wondering what all I'd need to make it into a jet from the late 80s to early 90s as opposed to the 70s. I believe certain parts around the gun changed at some point just don't know when and what other external changes occurred.
  11. Thanks guys couldn't figure it out to save my life looking at the instructions.
  12. Getting ready to start a 1/48 Kinetic F/A-18 as the RAAF Worimi Hornet and was wondering if anyone knew what color blue they used on the spine and tails of it. My instructions don't have paint callouts for it but it seems to be a normal RAAF paint aside from the blue so any help would be greatly appreciated.
  13. Ok thanks that's a big help for someone who doesn't know much about F-4s beyond the basics of the different models.
  14. Ok thanks would it be possible for a N or S out of the J boxing then as the other USN versions?
  15. Just picked up the VF-84 boxing of the Academy F-4 today and looking at the parts it seems to have the B/C radar dome and USAF weapon parts. My question is how many parts are similar between the C and J boxing's and can one be built from the other considering the external differences the versions have? I'm no Phantom expert so any help would be greatly appreciated.
