  1. Received mine today in the mail from HLJ! Sweet little kit! Darren
  2. I need the dimensions of the Aires 1/32 F-14(any model) exhaust cans. Not the external nozzle part but the internal "tube" that is hidden in the fuselage. Internal diameter, external diameter and length is what I need. Why? I'm looking for a reasonable replacement for the Tamiya 1/32 F-15C. Curious how the F-14 tubes match up for size. Thanks, Darren
  3. Correct. Those new parts are added/changed in the "J" boxing. However the fuselage is still an "E". The JFS intakes on the spine along with different access panels and panel lines were carried over from the "E" kit. Also, depending on the era the bulges on the rudders may not be correct for a "C" or "J". Some "C"'s do have them but not all. In my opinion they are WAY over done even for the "E" kit and should be much more subtle. The horizontal stabs are "E" model also. Some "C"'s are flying with them not sure of the "J". The landing gear and wheels/tires are also "E" model in the "C" kit. Not
  4. Actually the "E" kit came out first and the main fuselage parts and most everything else in the kit are re-boxings of those parts. The single seat front fuselage and cockpit are the new parts. Several changes to the fuselage need to be made to make an accurate "C". So in all reality the "J" kit started as an "E"...reboxed as a "C"...then reboxed as a "J". Neither of which are truly accurate. Darren
  5. Your decals look very nice. Do you print them yourself or are they from a company like Microscle? Darren
  6. F-5F is now in stock and available from Lucky Model!! $35 and change shipped. Mine is on the way...woo hoo!! Darren McTee
  7. Fred, TwoMikes Resin will be releasing resin plugs and seamless intakes for the AFV kit very soon. Have you built one of these kits yet?. I recently did and it was the most fun I have had building a kit in a long time. Great kit!! Darren McTee
  8. Willing to trade a high end kit for this or Pay $$. Darren McTee
  9. Lol...wow a double jaw drop! Thanks Clif. I'll take a rain check on the Dom and Bolli. Darren
  10. Unfortunately no. Damn uncertainty of the airline life . The basement is becoming just one continous growing mound of a stash. Much to the wife's dismay!
  11. Dude, You make my day!! While I'm there I guess I'll order some T-2 intakes and a pit! Darren
  12. Thanks dude. You pop some intakes out for this kit and you will see a "Snake" or "Ghost" rapidly thereafter!! Darren
  13. Thanks, glad you like it. As for MM paints I have the best luck thinning them with Model Master Thinner. Exact ratio is difficult to say. I start at about 50/50 but what I am looking for is something that looks like thin skim milk. After I stir I use my Tamiya stir stick and drag the paint up the side of the jar and watch how it flows back down the side of the jar. When I am happy I spray on an old "hack" A/C I have to see how it sprays and how it covers. I can tell how "wet" it is and will adjust to thin it or sometimes thicken it up before I spray on the model. I lay down the basic pattern
  14. Hi Tommy, Thanks for the props... Have you built a Hasegawa A-4 yet? Another great kit with cool aggressor schemes. Darren
  15. Old Blue was not wrap around..."New Blue" is wrap around and has a different pattern and one of the blues is a darker color. Also, New Blue usually covers the radome too, not black. Darren
