  1. mr. color has this set<link to amazon>: Mr.color Featured Set CS665 Japan Air Self-Defense Force Cleaner Marine Camouflage Color Color I have it for my F-2's on my bench.
  2. Thanks all. I guess I phrased my question somewhat incorrectly. I was attempting to solicit speculative opinions concerning the idea that Tamiya was disappointed in the F-16C series sales, subsequently, they held back on producing a family model. Alll speculation of course! (tip of the hat to 11bee!) I have built one single seater, and have 4 on the shelf, and absolutely adore it. And will continue to buy more. I feel a D model, if a later block (Like a sufa) is one that is eventually produced, it rounds out the family, essentially, allowing nearly any b
  3. I am sure it is a "trade secret". I just cannot understand the lack of a release of a family model. From what I understand, a Tamiya F-16D would be as simple as creating two sprues(upper fuselage plus 2nd pit and a new canopy), a decal sheet and instructions.
  4. Given their quick turnaround on the F-14A to F-14D release schedule, would I be accurate in saying that the F-16c releases were eventually, a sales disappointment? Did the disappointing sales Eventually lead to Tamiya to not release a F-16D?
  5. I agree. I will purchase the three AMK's that I have committed to, when available. Tamiya already gets enough of my money and will get even more when they actually produce a f-16d.
  6. indeed. It would seem to be the best route. Thanks!
  7. I have found multiple "recipes" for water based acrylic thinners/retarders/cleaners based on water , IPA, glycerin, and propylene glycol. of which I have. However, I have yet to find any recommendations for a homebrew retarder for either Tamiya or Mr. Color Alcohol based paints. The goal is to make either brand easier to hand paint. Can I just use a small amount of Propylene Glycol to retard the drying of these these paints?
  8. can this work? https://www.amazon.com/Aztek-9312x-Coiled-Airbrush-10-Feet/dp/B000BL1CFU/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1522755552&sr=8-2&keywords=testors+air+hose
  9. Indeed I am! Hopefully RoG's product introduction here in the states will be minimally impacted by the hobbyco bankruptcy.
  10. Has anyone been able to find the new mold Revell P-51D online in the states? I have been to 4 hobby shops in my area, and have searched the big names online, and all report out of stock. Even Stevens International lists it as out of stock. Does anyone have any insight, as to the cause?
  11. I agree. We all want a healthy modeling industry, and having new companies releasing quality product is a good thing. I would say (given the 76 pages of posts and counting)we are all "in it to win it", and are anxiously awaiting to see how far AMK knocks the ball out of the park.
  12. Janissary, you mentioned 12" x 12". Is that the max dimensions you can accommodate? I had the style of fan that bob mentioned above growing up, and would believe that those types would be a solution for you. Though given your mentioned dimensions of 12" x 12" most fans wouldn't fit. If that is the max dimensions that you can fit, I would expect that a custom "bracket" would be needed to fit.
  13. MJ, Sorry for not getting back to you. I didn't see your post. The last price I saw was retail -40%. dont recall the number. The clearance pricing was only for the belair store closing event.
  14. Bruce, Thanks for the feedback! I do appreciate it. As I just received 1 GW f-15c, and 2 Kinetic F/A-18's from my order with luckymodel placed the day after christmas, I believe I proved (at least for once) I am a patient man!
  15. Just curious to see if anyone from the USA has had good or bad experiences with super-hobby.com from poland?
  16. ok about two weeks left in belair for hobby works. stopped by today, and picked up a Freedom models f-20, eduard fw-190A4, eduard israeli spitfire special edition, and a revell il-2! this weeks discounts are 40%. Highlights (to me) that were still there today are: AMK mig-31 freedom models f-ck-1c promodeller f-4e ebbro mclaren mp4-30 hasegawa mv-22 trumpeter j-31 trumpeter j-20 (2016)
  17. I have a good quantity of Blue Magic metal polish from my other hobbies/car work. What are the thoughts of using it it for using it with a dremel (of course, carefully) on giving canopies their final buff, instead of the Tamiya polishing compound? Is Tamiya's worth the price of admission?
  18. Made it there over the weekend. 30 percent off some decent items. Snatched up a Tamiya NSX, Revell Bronze Tiger Eurofighter, Eduard BF-109G-14, and a f-16 Eggplane! I believe they have a few more weeks for liquidation.
  19. Andrew, Take a look at the rear panel of the subwoofer at the manufacturers page:https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/surround-sound-speaker-z506. Typically, when you plug any speaker system into a AC outlet, that speaker is a "powered" system. It uses a built in amplifier (typically measured by watts) to amplify the line inputs provided by either via the mini plug, or the dual RCA plugs. Then the signal goes out thru to the speakers via the separate speaker outputs. So, to answer your original question: typically yes, a 75 watt powered speaker s
  20. Just received an email that the HobbyWorks location in BelAir MD will be closing in mid march. The Laurel MD and Rockville MD stores are still open for business.
  21. Jeffrey, thanks for taking the time to post these pics. Cannot wait for mine to arrive from luckymodel!
