  1. I have successfully used acrylic nail powder and the matching liquid from the beauty supply store to replace all of the fuselage side windows on the Revell C-54 using the procedures the the Budzik video explains. When mixed together the compound fills the window opening well and no other glue is needed. I also used the mixture to close some of the window openings that were not needed. Once dry it can be sanded and polished to represent a clear window but the working time to mix and place the stuff is rather short. Once dried you can prime and paint and also scribe a line if done carefully.
  2. I have used an acrylic nail powder and liquid that came from a beauty supply successfully to fill holes and currently I am filling the pax windows on the Revell C-54 instead of using the styrene windows provided. Follow the process presented in the Budzik video - it works well. My opinion is that the acrylic powder for nails and the dental powder used in the video are essentially the same thing - I've had both and they smell and react the same. A couple things to know if your doing clear windows - use a backing that is non-stick and very smooth - I use the backing pealed off double sided ca
  3. You may wish to consider a Rolair JC-10 - a twin cylinder and tank unit. - I bought one to replace my Iwata twin cylinder and it is quiet (60db) when running - it also shuts off when it reaches pressure. Noise is equal and maybe quieter than the old Iwata . It produces more than adequate amount of air (2.3 cfm at 90 psi) and is portable. You will probable need a moisture trap. Can't figure out how to put a picture here so look on Rolair website. There are other similar units by other companies (Senco, etc.)
  4. I have interior ceiling photos of a USAF H-34 if that would help. I can't seem to add them to this reply so if some one can share the secret to adding a photo I'll make them available here. If not just e-mail me directly.
