I'm in the process of sanding/filling/filing my Flanker. I also used the Neomega cockpit and am going to mark it up with the Linden Hill Flankers on Patrol ll. Im thinking about Blue 41.... but your Flanker is looking hot!

...And I do use Squadron Green...maybe I should look into that Tamiya stuff.... or maybe quit the hobby ;)

I've used the method "filling seams without sanding" and my firts attempt was well, rather shameful. It was on the Monogram B-29 that was so badly botched after being dropped that i just threw it into the garbage...after i broke it up of course...
Anyway, Im working on a Su-27 and I'm still 'perfecting' the technique, however I the seams NEVER seemed to be finished, and so I don't really have any confidence to move on and say "ok, its ready for painting". They just don't feel right

Hi everyone. Let me start out by saying thank you EVERYBODY for taking your time to post your questions, thoughts, and tips for everyone all over the world to share with. Its been a blessing since getting serious about this hobby, and now to my point.
I have just recently (within the past 6 months) become serious about finishing and making my planes look right. But I just can't get my seams and gaps to look right after I fill them and sand them. For some reason you can always see the spots where I've used Squadron Green Putty through the paint (rough textures, gritty feel, etc.) Maybe you just need to be born with it, but I can't smooth them out for a hill of beans. Can anyone help me please? ;)
