  1. Oh yes, probably 6 or so. Saturday was the last day of the sale, and practically NOBODY had grabbed any of the kits! More for me I guess! Aaron
  2. My HL also has in stock a 1/48 B-1, a 1/32 F-105 Thunderchief by Hobby Craft, the Academy 1/32 F-18, several Tamiya Me-262s and countless more, including over 10 Minicraft Boeing 777-200s. And thats just to start with, all at 75% off!!
  3. Everyone should take a trip to Hobby Lobby once a week/end. Look at the deal I got! That RF-4 had been sitting there since mid-January. :D Now its mine, all mine! muah ha ha ha Aaron
  4. Today I walked into Hobby Lobby for some copper/silver wire to detail my F-4E cockpit when I pass a sign that reads "75% all plastic model kits". :D I checked out their shelves and wouldn't you know it, a Hasegawa RF-4B for $42.99 was sitting right there. I grabbed it, checked out with my wire and only paid $13.66!! :D I have a new entry for the GB!! Now if I could only find some markings and a set of seats... Aaron
  5. PS: aaron I love your banner! Seems we got the same problem with the s/n! Just be careful when selecting, because most aircraft had the DIAS ECM fairings on the fin, engine intkes and lower part of radar radome, but some did not! cheers, Dimosthenis Dimosthenis, My F-4 will be from 1993, were there modifications then? Aaron
  6. All right, I've fixed my banner and sprayed for ants, so now all I need is to decide which S/N I'm going to do! How about F-4E 01526? Aaron
  7. For the first time in my life I have ants in my pants :P Aaron

  9. Kaan, How did you make that seat look so great?! I have the same Academy Flanker and I used the NeOmega cockpit set also. I just finished painting the seat yesterday, do you have any tips to give it a little 'bang'? Thanks in advance, Aaron And your Ukrainian Flanker looks outstanding!
  10. Heck I love Airbus aircraft. I think the A340 is about the prettiest thing to fly, but I agree with Rusty. Im not poking at anyone who likes the A380, I just want to say to Rusty that I think the double decker is quite unattractive... but most impressive at the same time Aaron
  11. As stated before, for metal caps use a hairdryer on the cap for just a minute or two. The heat will expand the metal and "melt" the dried paint at the same time. Twist off with your hands and if you don't feel like wiping the threads, thats ok. A hairdryer works EVERY time. Aaron
  12. I've been searching for a P-3 kit and can't find one anywhere, where did you get that one? My uncle worked on P-3s in the Navy and I told him I would build one for him. Aaron
  13. Where may I find aftermarket decals for a B757-200?
  14. Bought the Minicraft 757-200 today...wish me luck! And now a Minicraft 777-200 to boot! Aaron
  15. Hey all, Thanks for all your info on this thread! I'll be building an F-4E from the HAF based at Andravida for the F-4 GB in June. Im gathering my references now so this is all very helpful! I'll be following this with great interest. Thanks again! Aaron
  16. Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your opinions and help. I've been looking at compressors but one thing that comes to mind is how much i'll have to spend to refill them...but it sure will beat those stupid canister problems! Happy modelling Aaron
  17. I am relativlely new to airbrushing, but here is my situation. I use a testors airbrush (double action) with the cans you buy for $7-$12 in the local hobby shop. It usually takes about 5 to 7 mins of spraying just air for me to get ANY paint to show up on ANYTHING (paper, the model,...) at any distance, and by the time it does my can is so cold that its only good for spraying another 30 seconds or so. How can I fix this? *gulp* must I buy a new airbrush? Thanks for your input everyone. Happy modelling Aaron
  18. Hey everyone, I've been jet modelling for 12 years, but they've only been military jets and a few prop planes just to mix things up. I'm interested in getting started with airliners but literally know nothing about it. Which kit should I start with? How big are they in those scales of 1/144 or 1/200...I'd think they'd be tiny. Thanks for your input! Aaron
