  1. I'll grab that for my I am a spammer....please report this post. 4
  2. I cover the Moss, Longsight, Wythenshawe and Stockport. Williams Manchester eh, you'll know my mate Nic Avery then. Took one of your bikes out for a test ride and trashed it. lol
  3. Cheers guys I have put more pics up in the Critique forum, for you all to look at. Yeh the intakes. I fully intend to cover them with intake covers. I sat down at the bench for several hours trying to make some. But in the end I just had to walk away before I threw the model at the wall. I am going to make some and have hatched a new plan of attack involving a large amount of milliput. Cameraman, sorry about that. lol. Get yourself down to Modelzone on Deansgate. Ask for Des, tell him Nige the bike cop sent you and he will sort you out. Nige
  4. I finished this just in time for Telford and thought it only right that I should show you all the finished item. After all, this is where it started. The build thread can be found HERE if your really bored lol. Well heres the pics of the old girl. Well thats it. I really enjoyed this one, what do you lot think of it? Nige.
  5. Home stretch and finish line in sight. The refuelling pods are done just need a quick matt coat. And the baskets adding. which are just drying off after a base coat. The flaps are all done and just need attaching. And the finally its done. I never did do the intake covers in the end. They just proved to be more trouble than they where worth so I decided to quit whilst I was ahead. Cheers for looking and I hope you like the, long overdue, finished build. I'm just going to head over to the Critique Corner and drop some more pics over there. Nige.
  6. Well after a long absence from here, heres the finale of this build. I did some work on the refuelling pods. The OOB pod is on the left. Not best ever. The props on the nose can, at best be described as chunky. The centre one shows the mods to the nose. I cut the tip off replaced it with some circular stock then cut some strips of litho plate to the correct size for the props. I also rescribed the pod. Finally the pod primered up and ready for paint. Definitely worth the effort in my book. I then turned my attention to the flaps. My intention is to show them dropping as the pressure slower
  7. Its the only paint i use now for white intakes and wheelbays, etc. Like you say lovely coverage but clean up is a pain. To make spraying and cleaning easier though use the dedicated RC thinners, it works a treat. I spray it direct onto styrene with no ill effects. Nige.
  8. I have airbushed the white onto my Bucc. Thinned with water and a drop of retarder. Went on a treat, dried quickly, and didn't peel off when masked over. Big thumbs up from me. Nige.
  9. And to which OTHER forum would you be referring to?
  10. Looks great. Couldn't have been easy hiding all those seams with a white finish.
  11. Your doing a great job on that kit. I have it, but not enough bottle to start it. Did your cockpit frames have a load of flash and look like the moulds weren't put together quite square.
  12. I wonder if they will send me a large cheque?? Live in hope can't we.
  13. Get the two in one. You won't be disappionted. I wasn't. Makes my Badger 360 look like it was carved out of recycled pop cans by retarded donkeys with poor eyesight.
  14. Thanks for the compliment Rob. See you there. Nigel.
  15. Airfix were really ahead of the game back in the 70's. I really thought that they were going to enter a new era when they released the 1/48 Lightning and Spits. Recapturing the glory days. Sadly that was not to be. But back to your kit (as he wipes a tear away). That is some really nice work. When you do come up with a solution to the panel fitment problems, let us know what it is. As I have the same poblem with my 1/24 Airfix Hurri.
  16. 1/72 Tamiya 1/48 Tamiya 1/32 Revell because its the only one in that scale.
  17. XtracryliX Flat Varnish from Hannants, gets my vote.

    Maskol...

Vallejo also do their own brand liquid mask. I haven't had any problems at all with it and suspect it may well be better suited to our needs as their paint range is acrylic based.
  19. I've been using that for a while now. The first time I used it I left the top off to long. The second time I used it I got a real smooth finish......................................on the living room ceiling!! But yes it is very good.
  20. Well many of you will have seen Skii's rendition of a Brit pilot in his Hawk thread. sadly the pics are missing at the mo but fear not. For I have recieved a test shot from him. Give him your money now!! These things are gorgeous. Thanks Skii. Sorry Tony hes not going into your Lightning :) . i have bigger plans for him. And just to prove that the Lightning is still moving along. :D Enjoy.
  21. Very nice work there Mike. Had me searching through evil bay and King Kits looking for a Dynavector kit. Did you manage to have alook at those sites I sent you? Nigel.
  22. Well on the strength of that I just laid down some sterling on the new Harder & Steenbeck Infinity Two in One. Along with a braided hose. Total splurge $257 US. Which equates to about £130. Just hope I don't get stung with import duty now. Heres a link to the brush for those who are interested. Money Leeching pictures. Don't look if you want to stay married.
  23. It would have to be Alclad chrome for sure. When put on well it gives a mirror like finish. But it is very fragile and doesn't stand up well to handling. I also had a problem with my chrome rubbing off when used over Tamiya TS-14. I spoke to the manufacturers about this who are sending me a new bottle just in case.(Brilliant customer service). But they also suggested that I replace the Tamiya spray with either Humbrol or Revell enamel gloss black or their equivalent. As the Alclad chrome will fix better to that. Nigel.
  24. Will anyone else ever understand the humour of a Brit Modeller? Oh hes good.
