If you do, take lots of photos for us please! In any scale they will look impressive.

I just dropped the hammer and ordered the complete kit in 72 scale! It's going to be a big build and I plan on adding complete lighting to the kit as well. Can't wait to have it in my hands.

That's really nice! I love the Vigilante.

Hi Guys. A little update. I have been very busy scaling the crawler up in 1/72 scale in CAD so the parts can be laser cut where possible. Not much to show for now only CAD drawings. Next month I hope to send the first of the files out to the laser specialists and have some of them cut. I'm working as fast as I can as I need one in 72 scale for the LVM LUT that I placed an order for.

Looks really nice and I agree the fenders need to be darker. Great work so far! Gene

How to best paint the overall gloss white NAVY paintscheme?
Apollokid replied to SCOUT712's topic in Jet Modeling
Tamiya fine white primer is the best. You could spray this and then buff it to a satin sheen which I think would look much better than a gloss finish in 72 scale. HTH Gene -
Has anyone tried to fit the Aires open exhaust nozzles for the Tamiya kit to the Trumpeter F-14A kit? The Trumpeter nozzles lack any detail on the inside and I would like to fit the Aires nozzles but don't want to outlay the money of they don't fit.Hoping someone has been there before me. Thanks, Gene

Great news, from experience the fatigue will ease as your wife's immune system recovers. I would suggest some vitamin Q10 which will help the energy levels come back. They do take at least three weeks or so before you feel anything from them. The best of health and happiness for your family! Gene

I also suggest the twin seat F-5F twin seater conversion in 32 scale. So many paint schemes and it just looks cool! Cheers, Gene.

yep, had the same thing happen to me with their AV-8B main wheel-bay. It was warped and would not fit until I gave it a nice hot bath! Cheers, Gene.

Nice work! Sure is a difficult kit to get together. Only wish they gave us the option of a closed up front fuselage which would make it a whole lot easier.

I have the Fisher models F9F-2 Panther for sale or trade. Included are the following books: Ginter F9F Panther part 1, Grumman F9F Panther/Cougar by Brad Edward, and a copy of the Osprey Panthers in Korea. I'm located in Australia but will ship worldwide if your up for the postage. open to offers but I think 120.00US is a fair price. Looking for the Trumpeter F-14A Tomcat in 32 scale or any accessories for it. Thanks for looking

Just wondering if anyone knows if Fightertown decals 48014 for the VF-1 Tomcats is still available. I cannot seem to access their website at all. I'm in need of a sheet badly as mine are water damaged and I need them for a partially completed kit. Thanks in advance.

Mr Surfacer for sure is the best for wing roots etc.I use Tamiya Lacquer Thinner and a cotton swap to wipe it away. Tamiya Lacquer Thinner will not damage the plastic at all. HTH Geno

No, I only gave the parts a good wipe over with a wet cloth and then I sprayed them with a clear coat to seal the surface before I started applying and tape etc. I think sealing the surface helped a lot. Cheers, Geno

How about 2000 Euros plus! Told you it will be expensive. Cheers, Geno

It's not going to be cheap. They will release it in several sections so you can build it as you can afford it. They do not know the final cost yet! Cheers, Geno PS. Start saving!

I had the same problem with the outriggers breaking. I'm using 2mm wide Kapton tape to hold the foil down which sticks to the white surfaces really well. The .5mil is really difficult to work with and I'm glad I'm building a J mission LM.There's less of it on the legs. It all a matter or perseverance to get the Kapton to look right on the model.Don't rush it and it'll all work out right. Cheers, Geno

Spaceman, I know someone on the inside at LVM. Cheers, Geno

Hi Vincent! I'm building the J mission LM at present using your parts from Shape ways. Thanks for making them available to us all.
