  1. Ah I had been wondering about the bottle appearing in more recent pics indeed. Now it does make sense. Thanks!
  2. Ah ah, so true. And would you care elaborate a tad about the further mods encountered on recent Su-35? Just for everybody's knowledge. :) Thanks again for all the information anyway.
  3. Dammit! Not the answer I was expecting. :D Oh well, live with the issue or try to fix it with some plastic surgery??
  4. Thanks! A corollary question would be: was there any Su-35S with the first launchers location deployed to Syria? From another discussion, I got the registrations/bort numbers of the planes deployed in 2015-2016. But does it help identifying the construction batch/period? End of 2015- 2016 02517 ● Su-35S №03 Red / RF-95813 02518 ● Su-35S №04 Red / RF-95814 02619 ● Su-35S №05 Red / RF-95815 02620 ● Su-35S №06 Red / RF-95816 Rotation end of 2016 03309? ● Su-35S №50 Red / RF-81717 03310? ● Su-35S №51 Red / RF-81718 03411? ● Su-35S №52 Red / R
  5. Bad news indeed. Hope the masters will be taken over by another company, but more importantly, hope it doesn't mean anything bad/wrong for Chris. No, not asking for details, not my business. Just thinking beyond the selfish modeling approach here.
  6. Hello, I have a question for our local Sukhoi experts. I was looking again in my stash at the Su-35S and looking at pictures from Syria, I noticed that the kit from Hasegawa has the chaff/flare launchers located on top/above the "sting" (as on the Bort 07 plane with the eggplant camouflage), whereas most pictures are showing the launchers loacted under the sting. Was there an evolution of the design? And was it applied to all Su-35S in service or only applied on a certain batch/randomly? Thanks!
  7. Thanks to both of you. The pictures gallery are definitely helpful.
  8. Hello, As far as I could gather, during their deployment in Syria (at least during the early stage), Russian planes (Su-24, Su-25, Su-30,...) had their red stars and VVS ROSSII markings painted over. Yet, there are some pictures showing the markings repainted over the paint patches. Is there a timeframe that would match the changes? Or did the Russians simply repaint the markings before the planes flew back to Russia? In which case, a corollary question would be: are all current russian planes deployed in Syria devoid of red stars and VVS markings? Thanks, Thom
  9. Time to go on the hunt for some Italeri 1/72 Cobras!
  10. I can't find the acrylics on Red Frog Hobbies. I found teh Mr Color and metallic ones, but not the acrylics.
  11. http://www.aviationmegastore.com/img/prod/full/2/1/85064_0.jpg Per Fightertown Decals instructions, FS36440 overall.
  12. Is it? Just looked at HLJ and I couldn't find it. Not that I really care as I got the 3 magazines and the matching sprues already.
  13. Some people said no, given the previous releases of Fine Molds/Graphix Models (A6M if I recall correctly). The model was released with the magazines, never by itself.
  14. http://maquette72.free.fr/decals/ca7202/index.php Not a great resolution, but that would be a start I guess.
  15. Otherwise a fix would be to use some Krystal Klear or any other product that becomes transparent once dried. Depends on the size of the opening though.
  16. Hasegawa / Fine Molds / Fujimi is a close call for the #1 spot. Hasegawa is tricky to build if that's your first F-14. Mold is quite old so some flash to be expected (in my own experience of owning 25+ F-14 boxings). No weapons in the boxings. Fine Molds might be hard to find. But it's the latest F-14D kit released. From the reviews/builds + the one I own, assembly is pretty straight forward and detail level is good. Fujimi is easier to build than the Hasegawa version. A few mistakes to correct, but engines and weapons are provided. Revell has way too deep engraving and less details (to my
  17. The Wolfpack one should be available soon (june 2016 release date). The Italeri one is popping from time to time on ebay. Or maybe some random online shops. Worth checking if their stock is up to date. That is for the 1/72 scale.
  18. Is it 1/35 scale or 1/1 scale? Hope the Rodman figurine is coming out soon, otherwise this one will be so ronery!
  19. Wolfpack is going to release a set to update their own T-2C kit. http://www.wolfpack-d.com/catalog/htm/wp72080.html
  20. Not getting married. Not having kids. Not having any form of social life. My building rythm worked fine until I started those 3 things.
  21. Worst case, try the Hobby Search pages. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10352193t2/60/2
