  1. A little progress. I've got the main float and cowling together, and sprayed the cockpit pieces with the aotake color.
  2. I'm sure no one would have any objections to two Black Widows.. Would they?
  3. If you have the -1D model, I don't believe any of those were the 2 tone scheme. I think all the -1D were 3 tone, and then later overall sea blue.
  4. Thanks! I was rather surprised how nice it turned out, considering my skillset.. Or lack thereof? Started tinkering on the Rufe tonight. Put together some sub-assemblies. Here are the outrigger floats and main wing assembly. And some fishing weights gorilla glued into the front of the main float. Accurate or not, I decided that I wanted to do the cockpit in an aotake finish. What works best for me is a light coat or two of Model master "metallic interior blue" enamel over a coat of aluminum. Here I have a light coat of Model Master Acryl aluminum down on the cockpit pieces. I've discov
  5. Goodness. Its hurts to even look at that Swedish ship... I agree with you, yellow wings are hard to turn down.
  6. That will be quite a colorful bird! How interesteing was the Cuban scheme?
  7. I have been a member here for some months, but this is the first build I have posted on here. I have been in a rut, a modeling purgatory so to speak. While I have many projects going along at some point of progress, I haven't actually completed a model 100% all the way to the shelf since early March. So I need something simple, something interesting, and most importantly, something FUN! This kit will fit the bill on all 3 fronts. So without further ado, here is the obligatory box shot. This is the 1983 boxing, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that the decals are still usable. Back
  8. I am going to do the old standby 1/48 Tamiya A6M2-N Rufe. Quite possibly the best 42 year old kit out there. I hope I can be pardoned, because I got too antsy and started 8/31/15 around 11:30PM local time. I couldn't help myself.
  9. Good gravy, I've got 4 109s on the bench right now.. Gonna have to hurry and finish those up quick so I can get to the Black Widow!
  10. All kits have sprues sealed in original plastic bags unless otherwise noted. ICM Yak-7B (still in original shrink wrap) $15 USD ICM Spitfire Mk VII with pilot and ground personnel figures. $16 USD AMT P-70 Nightfighter. $20 USD Zvezda La-5 (Zvezda does not package their sprues in bags. 11. I have a couple of Medalion P-40N conversion sets, where you graft on the longer tail and cut out for the larger canopy from an old Otaki/Arii P-40E. I think that might be surgery enough?
  12. Hello all. I have been on a 109 kick as of late, and am on the watch for deals on 1/48 Hase 109E, F, and early G. I would consider later Gs as well if the price were right. So if you have any in your stash you know you will never get around to, let me know. Also willing to trade. I have exclusivly WWII era and early cold war 1/48 aircraft, so maybe I have something you are looking for as well. Email me at: alexdaniel35@yahoo.com
  13. I would enjoy this as well. Maybe a Croatian or Slovak 109?
  14. Hello all. I have some 1/48 decals I figured I would never get around to using. All prices INCLUDE shipping in the CONUS. I'll also consider reasonable offers, especially on multiple items. 15. I remember when he was in the booth for the races broadcasted by TNN. That was my favorite when the races were on TNN. I believe he was paired with Eli Gold. He, Ned Jarrett, and Benny Parsons were by far the best NASCAR television color commentators.
  16. Hello all. I have a couple of kits with extras for sale. I will pay for shipping anywhere in the CONUS. If you have a reasonable offer, don't be afraid to ask! I have: 1/48 ProModeler F-84G (still in shrink wrap) + Eagle Strike 48-214 USAFE F-84 Pt. 2 $30 USD 1/48 Monogram B-25J (solid gun nose) + TD wheels and Aeromaster 48-684 Marauding Mitchells Pt. 2. $35 USD If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. 17. The modeling umpire will try to answer you questions. (I can only speak 100% certain for HS/College rules, MLB rules are different in a few areas.) 1. A order in which the runners become out does not matter, what matters is the way the runners must be put out. A force situation is simple. Once the a batted ball is put in play, the batter runner is FORCED to make it safely to first before he can advance any further. If a defensive player has the ball in his possession and simply touches a base a forced runner is advancing toward, that runner is out. Therefore, R1 (runner at first) is FORCED to
  18. I am seriously considering pre-ordering one of these. I wonder how much more shipping to the US would be...
  19. Well here in Tennessee, the powers that be have decided that all HS football referees will now switch to 2" stripes. Which means I have to replace all my 1" striped shirts. So I have decided to trim some fat off the stash to re-equip the wardrobe. EVERYTHING is 1/48 Scale. I pay CONUS shipping. This stuff really needs to go, in a bad way, so I will consider reasonable offers, ESPECIALLY on more then one item. I'll bundle. The more you buy, the more you save. ***** FIRE SALE ***** As I said, this needs to go. So I will bundle it up if you want: ALL the decals (I pay CONUS) $55 USD or
  20. Pegasus was supposed to release one, but never happened. While flawed, I think the Trumpeter might be the best is you need ingraved panel lines.

  22. Good God. If he can't get the two fuselage halves glued together straight, that isn't your problem. A 3 minute bath in nearly boiling water would have had those lined up straight as an arrow. Even without that, alittle work would have them lined up. Poo on him.
