  1. Great idea! Thanks. Similar pattern was used by Marine Corps. Two AH-1T were painted, but there's no 1/35 1/32 kit.
  2. Hi. Would you be so kind as to reveal more photos of AH-1G and OH-58A birds with camouflage? If only there were visible numbers to make decals...
  3. I was ordering from Russia and only once had a problem to get arma item. As I speak Russia I used to buy books, recently they published a lot of cool stuff like 'Black shark's tale' history of Ka-50/52, ecellent compendium about russian army aviation or a strange looking ...in 2016 when it was released... novel "Go Kiev!" about Mi-28 combat in Donbas.
  4. Wow ! This arma kit is awsome. For the Z decal - indeed in some EU countries there is a legal ban to use Z letter as symbol promoting rushizm but even with that we can make a diorama like scene on this T-shirt. The point is that even before the 2022 war and sanctions arma was not sending abroad (I was trying to order their Hind rivets, finally got it via seller on ebay). And now semes it's much easier to get original Ka-52 parts from downed ones. My buddy got a cover from downed Su-34 as an award from IPMS Ukraine for best ukr model in a contest. Let's hope
  5. Hi, slowly but I dis some progress 🙂 So yes, wasn't easy but finally I made the basket using jewellery wires. Meanwhile I started to work on the engines and transmission cover. But again... I have to wait for the non-slip surface paint but now I can close the model.
  6. In Poland one of Mi-24D with the tail number 013 has been restored after the crash with the use of several parts from another destroyed Mi-24D (014). Regarding the tail - the procedure of exchange was also done at least two times - one between Mi-24Ds (177 tail has been damaged with the rotor blade from other crashed Hind) and second I know is when Mi-24V after crash got tail from Mi-24D. And of course this is now source of confusion to modellers who want to make the model correctly and have no knowledge of the difference between D and V tails 😉 ... and as far as I remember the t
  7. True... but count the rivets on EACH of them... The guys would be surprised :D
  8. What do you mean by Mi-24B? B version had the tail rotor like early Mi-24A. BTW - in socialism all was hand made 🙂 Just as an example the Trabant
  9. I'd like to make a basket - I am collecting paper clips and have to look for my soldering iron... long time since I use it 😜 Slow progress with the model - I made a container located behind the pilot's seat and the first fittings for resin conversion - the wheel support element. Looks great! I also work on the fuselage - as you can see fitting of some elements is not perfect - filling the gaps with the thin CA glue did the job without need to sand delicate surfaces at the outside.
  10. Hi, I moved this into a separate topic from the discussion what is needed for the conversion of KH kits to HH-60J. I haven't seen yet anywhere build relations so appreciate tips to avoid mistakes and it may be of use to others. It seems that the best kit to convert into HH-60J/MH-60T is KH50010 HH-60H 'Rescue Hawk' and of course conversion made by Floyd plus his decals are needed. The kit contains frames from other KH H-60 kits so we have appropriate exhaust, tail and wing extension. I will use dedicated USCG cellulose paints made by Bilmodel. I want to make yellow M
  11. Nice job ! Is it Italeri? I used HB kit. Now i started 1/35 with the conversions but will do in yellow again 😉. Still some stuff to be done for interior. I use dedicated Bilmodel USCG paint set but must wait for the new (bigger for 1/35) bottle of yellow as i used all for jayhawk and HRP-1 banana. And some woks on interior in 1/35
  12. oh, you're right 🙂 I'm jumping between scales. For 72 I used riveter.
  13. 48 or 72? I ordered 72 rivets on e-bay a year ago but never arrived. Does anyone know if Eduard will release also Mi-24D rivet decals?
  14. I forgot to check that. Good idea but I already closed the fuselage.. But I think I prefer MRC/Academy.
  15. I plan to do so. Not in this model as I wait for the XM35 but just wanted to chck if 35 engine will fit to 32 Cobra. Except difference in exhausr diameter (wchich is not a big problem) seems to be OK. BTW I was thinking to expose XM35 somehow... Gaspatch makes nice ammo belt ( 1/24 scale .50 will look like 20mm in 1/32) however I cannot find any good pics AH-1G loading ammo...
