  1. I have this airbrush. It does a real nice job and is easy to clean. It does feel a bit heavy and clunky compared to my Iwata HP-CS but that doesn’t affect its performance. As you said, the price of Mr. Hobby airbrushes can’t be beat
  2. Just saw a sheet of wrap- around schemes go for over $50 on EBay. A new sheet could be a winner, just sayin...
  3. Ok thanks guys! How about the pylon the TER is mounted on? Is it by chance the special one meant for the Sparrow missle? Or a standard F-16 pylon for that specific station?
  4. Yes, the underwing pylon.
  5. Can someone tell me what is on the empty pylon on this F-16 ADF in the link below? is it a standard TER or one specifically for an F-16? Also, can i find this TER in the Tamiya or Kinetic kit? Thanks
  6. Sure, after I built the same Happy Hooligan F-4 on this sheet using no less than 3 separate other decal sheets... I’m still buying it!
  7. You asked for early Thuds, but how about some wrap around schemes since the old TwoBobs sheet is no longer?
  8. I know you’ve done ND Happy Hooligans before in ADC Gray, but how about some later options in SEA camo or Hill Gray?

    F-16 ADF

    Which Hasegawa kit? F-16A kit?

    F-16 ADF

Well I’ve bought three kits so far, I’d hate to buy one or two more to steal parts from, I might just rescribe the pylon and tail in the Revell kit...Ahh who am I kidding, I love buying more kits..

    F-16 ADF

I see now! Thanks. I'm not sure but I didn't see the special pylons for Aim-7 Sparrows in the Kinetic kit? Is the Revell kit the only kit with them?

    F-16 ADF

Thanks Jonathan. I was hoping to use the Tamiya kit one one way, shape, or form...I'll will try and find that kit. Any chance it has the correct tail with the large bulges at the base of the fin?

    F-16 ADF

Got it, thanks. I’ll see if it’s possible to graft the Revell tail to the Tamiya kit.

    F-16 ADF

Thanks Habu, so the Block 25/32 Tamiya kit has the correct Stabs and landing gear? How about the vertical tail?

    F-16 ADF

Hello everyone. I'm looking to build a F-16 ADF of the 119th FW to represent the North Dakota Air Guard around the late '90s - early 2000's time frame. I'm thinking of kitbashing some parts to The 1 48 Tamiya kit. I know little about F-16s so i'm looking for some insight to how it might be done, if at all?? Questions are: - what Tamiya kit to start out with? Block 25? - what size tail does the ADF variant have? same tail as the F-16A? -Pratt engine with small intake? - Small landing gear? - Beer can antennas on the leading edge of wings? - Which cockpit and type
  16. Thanks everyone! I thought it looked like the early exhausts but then I thought it would be odd to have the upgraded stabs? I also noticed no ECM bump on the vertical tail, and Hasegawa only gives you the insert with the ECM, so I stole one off the Academy kit, but of course it doesn't match up to the Hasegawa tail very well... Also, shouldn't RF-4Bs have the elongated ECM bumps on the intake sides?
  17. I'm currently building Hasegawa's 1 48 Rf-4B kit and as always the instructions are no help. I'm trying to determine if this aircraft has the early or late exhausts and the slotted or non-slotted stabs. Thanks for your help. 2018-12-30 by 2wrenches, on Flickr

  19. Possible future customer here... anything for the cockpit?
  20. This thread is proof that Facebook and its Idiots are ruining the whole of the Internet. I was hoping this crap wouldn't spill into the good old Forums...
  21. I think Karaya makes a resin set. Try EBay or Hannants.
  22. Thanks guys, glad you like it.
  23. Hasegawa kit with all the Daco updates. Mix of kit decals, Sky decals, and Tauro Decals. Stencils were a bugger, as the Tauro sheet doesn't include any?? and the Sky Sheet is super inaccurate, and the Hasegawa sheet is thick and too light of a gray color, so the contrast isn't there. Anyway, Aires cockpit and exhaust, and Eduard Resin wheels, and metal pitot tube. Hope you enjoy, and as this is my first F-104, I may have missed a few lumps and bumps, but I did my best:
  24. None of those decal sets contain stencils. I've also never seen an Almark set that was desirable or accurate. Is this particular set better?
