  1. Hello everyone, Been having a lot of fun working away on the Mosquito. Got the fuselage halves together and now I'm attaching the wings to the spars. However, I lost one of the parts needed as it literally flew off when I attached the wing to the fuselage. The part I need is B5. I don't really want to have to order whole sprues from Tamiya for just one little part. If anyone can help me out, that would be great! Thanks! Chris
  2. Thank you all so much! I really appreciate the help! I'll post Mosquito pictures when I get it done. THanks again, Chris
  3. Thank you! It's great to be back into modeling and back on ARC. I'm doing this as a way to help rebuild dexterity after a major accident and so far it's helping! Plus, I do have fun building these airplanes. I've been collecting models for years as I planned on going on a building spree during the winter months. Tried that technique - except without a gloss clear coat. It worked well for me and didn't make too much of a mess! Thanks again!
  4. Hi, Been a very long time since I posted here. Life got busy for a while and am finally slowly getting back into modelling. I'm working on a 1/48 Mosquito FB. VI and am looking for a way to weather the cockpit - specifically make the green look more grungier than it already is. I've got this picture in mind as I find it'll give the cockpit a more realistic appearance: (Photos are from Google) I'm thinking an oil wash as I used Model Master non-toxic acrylic and Tamiya acrylics for the main colors. Would anyone

  6. Hi, Does anyone know of a 1/48 RAF Bomber Crew figures set? Specifically one that would be suitable for a Lancaster B.III? Thanks, Chris
  7. Hi, I'm looking for the oxygen tank for Hasegawa's Spitfire Mk.IXc. It is part G36 in the instruction manual. If anyone has one, could you let me know? Thanks, Chris
  8. Hi, I finally managed to get my issues with filling and painting figured out. Now, I'm moving onto something a little more ambitious. I've purchased Tamiya's Lancaster and Eduard's Big Ed for the Lanc. I've got some questions for those who've used this set. 1) What's the best way to assemble and fold the wing flaps? The instructions are a bit vague on the actual assembly process for the flaps, so I'm asking for a bit of advice here. I've got a fairly rough idea, but I'm not sure how to assemble the flaps. 2) what would be the best way to file down the bomb bay for the photo etch bomb rack?
  9. Hi there, I'm just curious as to what the best way to remove the kit bomb racks for the Tamiya Lancaster? I'm replacing the kit one with the Eduard photo etch set. Anyone have anu suggestions? Thanks, Chris
  10. Hi, I need to replace a colored photo-etched frame for the 1/48 Czech Models T-50 "Bamboo Bomber". I was working on it earlier and damaged the instrument panel beyond any repair. Would anyone have one or know where I could get one? Thanks, Chris
  11. Hi, I recently purchased a Squadron 1/48 Bamboo Bomber to build for my grandfather. He flew in them during the war. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a photo-etched frame for it. I'm building it as a Cessna Crane. When I was working on it earlier, I damaged the instrument panel and I need to get a new photo-etched one. Does anyone have any idea where I'd be able to get one? I'm kind of desperate and am hoping someone would be able to help me out? Or, would someone know of a retailer that would have a photo-etched frame I could buy? Specifically one with parts 3 and four? I
  12. Hi there! I picked up a few kits from Toys-R-Us that I'll use as practice for filling and sanding. DutyCat, I'll definitely have a look at your videos tonight. I'm sure I'm using Squadron Putty wrong. In fact, I'm almost certain that's what I'm doing wrong. Also, I've picked up a putty applicator tool. Does anyone have any more suggestions with applying putty? Thanks, Chris
  13. Hi there, I'll use Tamiya Basic Type putty from now on. I've used it before and have had amazing results. The hobby shop I go to didn't have any in stock so I was a little out of luck and had to use Squadron Green. I'll be sure to pick up Tamiya basic type and use that to fill gaps. CA glue seems like another good option, sprayed with an accelerator and immediately sanded down. Thanks!
  14. Hi there, My friend uses Alclad II microfiller and primer. It seems to work for filling small fuselage gaps and minor seams. I'm just looking at my Tutor now and I think that might be a good option. The gap is still fairly small, but I want to make it smaller. SBARC, I have to agree with you about the Squadron green putty. It does tend to chip along the edges. Lancer512, thanks for the video. I'll have a look after work tonight! That video should answer my questions. I'll add more to the gap, hopefully that'll fix it. I will need to rescribe some panel lines. What kind of CA glue are you
