  1. Some overall shots, and with the exhaust decks mounted too:
  2. Mounted. First i opened the boundary air intakes, then filled and sanded the seamlines between the intake nacelles and the fuselage. This was quite a difficult sanding due to the high curves and the delicate sharp edges. So it's not the best filling of seamlines, but after a dark paint - the seamlines look rather unobtrusive:
  3. Daaaamn, you even added the rails for the deflectors.... This is tremendous!
  4. And i also prepped the intakes. Note the shine on the white surfaces - they were not still wet while taking the pics - i lacquered them thoroughly 🙂 Exhausts - ready for mounting:
  5. Hi gents! I started with the top fuselage. The intake nacelles are glued and the panel lines are filled: The cockpit is just testfitted, but it's not ready yet. The wings are finally ready. There was plenty of filling and sanding with so much gently, cause the trailing edges are now sharp as a knife. Bottom-side: And the top sides: With PE in the edges, this is how are the edges now. Sharp.
  6. Now i saw the pics in the G.Pics album. So far so good 🙂 It`s veeeery very good!
  7. Absolutely gorgeous model! The subtle weathering is Top! Btw, around the first pics, i see something just ever so slightly "unparalleled" between the stabilizers and the wings... I might be mistaken, of course. Nevertheless it looks beautiful!
  8. And i also glued the doors on the lower fuselage + quite alot of reinforcements from the inner side. This beast becomes nearly half a kilogram and the receptacle for the stand pylon should be very sturdy too. So, the doors indeed fit pretty nicely and flawlessly: But i gave them a thorough rub and now the bottom fuselage is perfectly flat, including the openable doors for the landing gear:
  9. Another "winged" upgrade - the conjunction of the mid flaperon with the outboard flaperon - there is a bevelled edge: And tried to replicate it. I'm quite glad with how it turned out. Here is the difference - the bevel on the wing side is already donel the flaperon side is still oob: and testfitted: Ginormous difference. But here is how it looks when the flaperons have their bevels as well 🙂
  10. Continuing with the edits: all is thinned properly now, and here is the difference with the outboard flaperon - as it is OOB, and after the edit: And from a different angle: : ... which, in a matter of fact, look like that in the real deal. Sry that i cannot post the full pic, but this is the inboard flaperon. They all are with just about the same thicknesses of their profiles: With a little bit of sanding and flattening, i suppose i could make them look with such flat surfaces.
  11. I'm also curious how many CA glues, paint and primer bottles, new blades, etc., will take to build that much models at once 🙂 My F-23A only took about 8! entire Revell Contacta glue tubes, cause most of it was use for a filling mix, but it is definitely something to remember.
  12. That is just an unparalleled build for my imagination... 25 Prowlers... in 1/48... I see something like a production line in your workspace - cockpit 1 - done; cockpit 2 - done; cockpit 3 - done... 🙂 Should be really interesting endeavor(s). Keep on the updates.
  13. i got that feeling that this will be one of the best Prowler looking models when complete. so much detail and color. keep it up!
  14. The thinning of the wing's trailing edges. FIrst the entire length of the aft profiles of the wings need to be thined. Here is how i did it. The difference is just a little, but i'm noticing it. Here on these pics the top wing is still untouched, while the bottom wing is prepped. And with the red lines are some examples of the exact lines where they are cut:
  15. A little abstraction.... "Irrelevance of scale and time"
  16. The MLGs. The pylons are hinged at 3 points... on the left is a pylon in its imaginary position inside the bay when it's retracted; and on the right is the other pylon extended: And that's how it looks with the wheels: Now the closing of the doors mechanism, painting, and wiring.... 🙂
  17. Gues what kit i've started some days ago?! 🙂 Since i'm gonna model it with moveable landing gear only - so there are not much other things to do from the interiors, except for the cockpit of course. The bomb and engine bays, and the aux air intakes witll stay closed. About the situation with the NLG - up and down, and the doors are hinged - open and closed:
  18. She's prepped: The IN-FLIGHT rollout, and the PARKED rollout. Thanks again for all the kindness, tips, ideas and motivation! Love ya. Enjoy.
  19. The beast has moveable landing gear and rudders 🙂 So this is the photoshoot only in a "parked" mod. Most of the pics are also on a direct sunlight, which helps make the Have Glass shines and reflections more pronounced. And of course - a big Thank you guys, for all the kindness, ideas and guidelines throughout this build! Here is the WIP topic and the "In-flight" Rollout. And now let's get started with some on-the-ground sillhouettes...
  20. Still in-flight and some mighty awesome have glass glares:
  21. What a beauty! Now i see it, and the B&W look.... Fantabulous!
