  1. 10x Steve for the info. I have planned to scratch only a bag (relatively full) to fill the void in the storage box, but now i understand that i first have to make two compartments. Maybe i will also include some of the other items that you mentioned. Awesome hint, 10x again! While for the storage box for the WSO - here is the part - great in shape and there is a good ref. photo for it. The front cockpit - it`s done :)/>/> I like it very much. All is test fit. The glasses for the HUD are not not complete as i first have to get transparent green/red paints for tinting. The wiring behind
  2. :thumbsup:/> Thanks a lot! :thumbsup:/> The side panels are cooking up... I started with the spices earlier: - thinning the inner rim of the main panel covering (or maybe glare shield is a more exact name) - the side walls are added around the box for personal items - the stand for the mounting of the hud is quite modified and thinned Now the main colors...
  3. I`m freezing the nozzle for a while, so it`s time for the inst.panels. :)/> It was quite a journey. Check it out. I`ve seen much better instr.panels, but i`m kinda happy with this too. After the main colors: And the end detail. The displays are flipped because whatever photos i see - the glare suggests that the displays are flat. Moreover, in this way the slightly curved side is from the backside, where the decals are fitted, providing an even better depth-effect. This is craziness, for the 1st time i tried to simulate the tiny labels/markings for some instruments by scratching the bl
  4. So, if any1 knows a scheme or a plan where is shown the riveting of the F-15? I can find only hi-res photos of the real plane where the rivets are clearly seen, but they are photos that cover only small areas of the plane. I wonder is there are any online materials that depict the extensive riveting scheme of the plane, the real one. Thanks very much in advance.
  5. Yes HOKUM, it was quite difficult, but with a couple of cups of coffee i looked at it more like a therapy for a few mornings. Here is the topic of the build - p.8 and 9 contain most of the masking exercises. Maybe from just the photos you could get more insight into the journey. :thumbsup:/>/>
  6. Or . :)/> Legendary movie and legendary soundtracks.
  7. Btw i`m not sure yet, but it`s very possible that i will change some parts, maybe the turkey feathers too, with some of the best resin ones. I`m already quite excited about that. Will see :)/>
  8. (1) & (2) are tolerably done: (3) is partially done - only one of the five portions is ready - the one on the left where only two of the three outer feathers are visible. And with the right nozzle for comparison:
  9. Hi Joel, it`s in 1/48, but i would like to share an article (inbox preview) that i recently wrote about F-4J (Rockin Rhino). :woot.gif:/>
  10. mm, too heavy wash, in my opinion, for the back area with the cables. It will be probably mostly covered by the seats, but still looks pretty heavy - dirty and clean at once.
  11. Very nice! Quite strange camo, but somehow quite beautiful too!
  12. The Phantom silhouette is scale-less :) Unique!
  13. Thanks thanks :)/>/> Next - one nozzle. I`m starting with the turkey feathers. Here is the assembly from the manual: And after a thorough examination of other F-15 nozzle topics and the kit parts themselves, check out what i`m planning to enhance: (1) Cut/glue to shorten the pieces (and the long struts) justly. (2) Fill/sand the recessed dots (i always confuse what are pin marks and what are ejector marks). (3) Highlight the edges of all feathers, something like rescribing, to make them look one on top of the another, inside & outside. (4) Fill/sand the seams after gluing, i
  14. And prepped for the front part of the cockpit:
  15. The pilot and the seat are done. It was quite an adventure - the pilot is literally dressed with... paper tape :)/>/> I included all the items according to this scheme and most of them are made out of paper tape. When soaked in solvent for enamel paints - the paper tape is very easy for shaping wrinkles and folds, while the texture still stays natural in this scale. So this is the oob figure: After the main colors: After some small additions: Ready for the harnesses: The "homemade :)/> " harnesses: ...
  16. Great journey of a great plane, i`ll be watching you :)/> The extras are very well too. Happy building and show us the updates! :woot.gif:/>
  17. I`m not too familiar with this plane, but i don`t have any critiques at all! :) Nice shine, nice composition, nice weathering.
  18. 10x Steve. I`m keeping that in mind. ;)
  19. Hi, check out this link from f-15e.info: http://www.f-15e.info/joomla/hu/weapons/loadout-configurations/129-desert-storm i think it is a complete reference. And just to mention - i remember that according to the site, during ODS it was possible for an airframe (E version) to wear one dark-grey drop tank and one light-grey drop tank at once ;)/>
  20. paper tape - just paper tape. I plan to "suit" the entire pilot in it... :woot.gif:/>
  21. Very nice! Especially the tones of the camo.
  22. Thanks for the info, this is one of the main reff. photos that i use - i`ll definitely try to include both colors. Btw - i slightly "clean up" the seat. And one from a bit greater distance, with the pilot figure:
