Not only I "think" this, I'm 100% sure the Hasegawa wings are too short in span (and as such also chord) and I even know what went wrong when Hasegawa designed the wings: they used a top view drawing of the Starfighter with the wings in the (correct) angle without using a 'flat' view of the wings… and as such the wings are 2 mm too short and the underwing tank pylon won't fit on its correct place between the flaps (as the chord is too short)... Why wouldn't she? At least this allowed me to play around with the radar dish to get a nice variation between the pictures…. I should admire your persistence with the rivets - don't forget the stabilizer has no rivets either - but I still believe you will always keep seeing them in the end, and the time and material spend so far could have used better for other parts... Take a closer look at Sprue A (of the DACO F-104 Improvement Set) and you'll find this NACA air intake for the F-104A/C (below the MB seat cushion parts)... Danny
