  1. If you choose a Recon version, don't forget to leave the rear auxilliary fuel tank out of the bomb tunnel...they tended to come loose and end up on the deck at launch.
  2. Okay, so how is this an improvement on B-2s? Don't tell me cost, either. Look at the small procurement. "Global reach"?
  3. The only tip I have to offer is: marry into money.
  4. "Man O' War" - Man O' War, Helen, Butch Baby.
  5. So, why won't anyone check the 1:32 scale kit list? All are Hasegawa or Hasegawa/Minicraft A-4E 8131 A-4E/F ST2, S109, 8002, 8063, 8114, 8125, A-4F 103, 1109, 8147 OA-4M 51006, 51066 TA-4J ST24, 8024, 8121, 8126 As far as I can tell, there are only three molds. The different kits just reflect decal options.
  6. "...The kit numbers for the Tomy kits were" HP-1 Frank HP-2 George HP-3 P-51D HP-4 A6M2" Thanks. "I notice you listed the Scratchbuilders Staggerwing as a re-release of the ITC kit. All Scratchbuilder's kits were resin and metal and all were original molds. They didn't re-release anybody else's kits." I got my info from Modelling Madness. They said the kit was BASED upon the ITC molds. I had already changed the text in my database. "The first release of the Revell AH-1 Cobra was in 1969 and the kit number was H-287." Thanks. Already found and added to my dB. "I'm sure you also kn
  7. Cool! Can you help with the Ultimate 1:32 kit database and foward the kit number and release date? Decal markings would be excellent info, too. Thanks.
  8. There's a Tomy P-51 in 1:32???
  9. Apparently, a couple of 1:72-scale bang seats do wonders for that cockpit. I think I saw that on Starship Modeler though it might have been CultTVMan.
  10. I hate to take business away from ARC, but you really shold pay a visit to Large Scale Planes. The Marketplace page has exactly what you're looking for.
  11. Can't tell you specifics but Ocidental and Monogram both made 1:48 Texans/Harvards. Someone made a vac canopy to convert the Mono kit to a Harvard. The Ocidental kit has the proper parts already in the box for a Harvard. Both my kits are still sealed up in garbage bags from Hurricane Rita preparations. I know I have an "In Action" book somewhere, I'll see if I can dig it out.
  12. It's Kangnam. I hear nothing but bad things about their 1:32 Vipers. Don't remember about the F-5 or other scales. Certainly you should find something with the search button.
  13. Didn't gladiators normally wear bronze and iron? Guess that answers the color question. No, I don't like gladiator movies.
  14. US Aircraft Serial Numbers Look it up. Probably a B-58 or sumthin'. Okay, I looked it up: 59-0465 = McDonnell F-101B-120-MC Voodoo 60-4965 = Radioplane OQ-19D drone
  15. Here's what happened to Herbert Jefferson, Jr.
  16. Thanks, Muttley. Database updated.
  17. Modelcraft issued a version of the venerable Revell Mosquito B.IV that apparently can be built as an FB.VI "IY-12 RF838" 1 Sqn, 24th Bomber Regt, Czech Air Force 1948. Kit number is MT-018. It's a 2005 release so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Supposed to have a vac nose to make the FB. Otherwise, mix and match the LSP decals to get the particular plane you're after. Don't know about aftermarket to convert a B.IV to an FB.
  18. I've spent most of life under one or another of Ellington's patterns and I've loved every second of it. My cubicle mate is also a plane buff and we both jump up and run outside to see what ISN'T a T-38 or F-16. I've got an okay seat for the annual Wings Over Houston, too. I live under the pattern of a small municipal airport and have had the pleasure of seeing the odd Spitfire and Thunderbolt burbling overhead. Gimme more!
  19. It's been awhile since I looked, but DLM(?) was designing a complete drop-in lighting kit for the big Enterprise but it was going to cost twice what the kit does.
  20. Not a definitive answer, but way back in my first modeling life I built a 1:32 Sabre (Hasegawa?) and the kit crafter supplied slats with no taper.
  21. So, how soon can you send me your copy?!
  22. I hereby coin the term "mid-viz" and donate it freely to the lexicon. No applause, just throw money.
  23. Having seen "Season 2" on DVD (at least, that's what it's marketed as - there are only 10 episodes), I'm still big on the show. Big changes afoot that I hope will lead to episodes as good as Season 1.
