  1. Ah, yes, now I see. But still, Aardvark??? I've never heard a Tomcat/Turkey called an Aardvark.
  2. Aardvark?!?!? Anybody else notice the TA-7?
  3. Nope, just Rice Boy mentality.
  4. Since you're modeling a smoking hole in the ground, what do you care? Unknowable.
  5. Search Button...Don't leave home without it

  7. It is very well documented that the P-51 wing was puttied and painted from the factory. P-51 Mustang: from Production Line to Front Line is a great source of photos to show this.

  9. I'll check tonight on the chord. I don't recall seeing anything indicating that fabric and metal surfaces weren't 100% interchangeable. Can't reply until Monday, hope someone can help if timing is of the essence.
  10. The outer panels on B7*R appear to be painted. Notice the change in gray value and reflectivity just inboard of the cochard. The stabs were never painted like the wing in regards to the putty. Camouflage is, of course, a different kettle of fish.
  11. Paragon made 1:48 flaps in a previous life, don't know if he'll will do so again.
  12. Speaking of translating, Babelfish has a hard time with the Deutsches in the spinner. "Verstarkungsslege gemass Anderungsanweisung Nr. 55 nicht erforderlich" comes out as "Verstarkungsslege in accordance with-ate instruction for other one NR. 55 not necessarily"
  13. Are pilots generally assigned to a single aircraft or do they get luck of the draw? I understand how a war footing would inevitably lead to a lottery system; does peacetime allow for one-time assignments?
  14. 18° of flap for the Seafire, at least through the Mk III.
  15. Yup, in the rare light blue plastic. PL should have taken a page from the Tamiya engineering book and used screws for the major assemblies.
  16. RC2 has corrected the web page, at least for the photo.
  17. Check CultTVMan for more info on the various models available. They also offer a few aftermarket parts.
  18. Another spoiler: The TV Dent, Arthur Dent was the Magrathean hologram warning. Slartibartfast was too young. Zooey is indeed "hawt". I thought that when I saw her in Elf.
  19. Polar Lights 1:350 Enterprise Refit, PL 1:1000 TOS Enterprise and a bunch of stuff from CultTVMan. Stoked!
  20. I would paint the yellow portions first with the can. Be sloppy if you like. When the yellow is dry (could take multiple coats to get good, opaque coverage), mask with tape the portions you want to stay yellow and then go to town with the blue paint. Be sure to rub the edge of your masking material so it's got a good seal. Oh, yeah, you might want to lightly sand the edges of the yellow before you start the blue so as to blend it and avoid obvious surface texture transitions.
  21. As with everything else, check your references. There is some controversy regarding relative sizes of ships from various universes.
  22. Terraserver has a photo of Whidbey Island with a P-3 on the runway. Right near me brother's house you can see a 737 outbound from Houston Hobby.
