  1. Well im glad i read this now. Ive bought a couple of Phantom sets in the past , and sung the guy praises. Well at least i now know and wont buy them again...
  2. Looking for the paragon designs UC doors , ammo chutes , and exhausts for the 1/24 mosquito please.
  3. OK im confused. Ive seen photos of the mosquito night fighter with the 2 wingtip lights on each side and some with only the 1 wingtip light on each side. Whis one is correct?
  4. Heres Nancy finally standing strong on her G-factor legs. Its well balanced at the moment but im still going to add more weight to the nacelles , engines and front wheel just to make sure!
  5. I needed to get the fuselage halves apart to get the old plastic leg out and put the new g factor one in. I also added lots of weight while it was apart.
  6. Apologies for not updating sooner. I actually took a step backwards. I disassembled it a bit to enable me to fit new G-Factor legs and install the noseweight again. Luckily the glue i had used to assemble the kit was not too great so it came apart fairly easily. Im using mr cement to reassemble it. I settled on the Zotz Markings for Nasty Nancy. I will post photos later.
  7. Can anyone tell me the colour of the seat cusions in the b-25 please. Ive heard , brown , yellow , or green so far. Thanks
  8. A little more done today. Nose gunpacks and armour plate fitted. I also assembled and painted the main UC and fitted the nacelles. Im going to build the engines next i think.
  9. I found this photo of the B-25 on modellingnews.com. It appears to show the b-25 in the kit with what looks like a pole supporting the tail end .
  10. Thats probably the route i will take.
  11. If you are going to put weight in it then yes G factor is the way to go. After 2 near disasters and a seam splitting , im giving up on putting weight in it. I really do recomend putting it all in before the fuselage is joined. I was using white glue to fix the weight in behind the dash , but i didnt notice it running into the cockpit. Luckily i got the weight out and washed all of the glue out. Im now going to either use a clear tail stand or fix it to a diorama base. Either way i will now be using the kit legs.
  12. Thanks Chaps. The main gear and nacelles are just fitted dry until the G-factor metal legs hit the UK.
  13. I have started to add some noseweight. I managed to get it under the floor in the nose , in the ammunition boxes and in the nosewheel. That all only adds up to 40grams at the moment though.
  14. Once the fuselage is closed up , the rest of the kit goes together fast. Here it is now. The wings are a push to lock fit like the old monogram 1/48 B-17g. They are very tight and there is a superb fit to fuselage. I wasnt going to but i think i may fork out for some metal legs. The front one is a little wobbly.
  15. Its certainly a beautiful plane. Lovely engine sound to. Very "lumpy".
  16. Its building up fast. I have since assembled the tailplane, tailfins and joined the fuselage halves.
  17. Heres a shot of the cockpit before i join the fuselage halves. I will deal with the belts later
  18. Thanks guys , its certainly a great kit. Heres the tail turret. I need to add a black wash over the ammo belts yet. Now , on to the waist guns. I was amazed by these. Theres 5 parts to each gun. When they are together they look fantastic. Look at the tiny sight! Heres the view from the outside looking in! More tomorrow...
  19. Thanks. I did wonder about the cusions , i couldnt find an answer online. Oh well artistic license! Paint thipping was just tamiya alluminium with a small brush.
  20. I made some seat cusions from milliput. I added some creases and painted them a leather brown. On to the bomb bay. This is it straight from the box. I need to add the bomb racks and maybe some bombs. Colour is Tamiya bare metal silver with a promodeller dark dirt wash. Thats it for tonight.
  21. Thanks Guys The interior is a mix that i make up of olive drab and yellow green.
  22. I have been waiting for a 1/32 B-25 for as long as i can remember. When i saw Hannants had them in i had to make the trip. Its alot of money for me and i wanted to make sure it was worth it. I wasnt dissapointed. This kit is one of the best molded kits i have ever seen. There are no photos of it anywhere that do it justice , you have to see it in the plastic! One of the things i really like is that theres very good detail in the parts you will be able to see and not much in the places you cant. I cant decide on markings yet. Some of the ones on the ZOTZ sheet look good but 23 quid on a deca
  23. OK hard days scratchbuilding today. I now have the sidewalls and tub done to a satisfactory standard. Ive added the throttle and nozzle controls too. I think my plan of action now will be to detail the left hand side of the rear wall then join the fuselage halves. I think i will give it a coat of primer so far then call it a day for today.
  24. This is my new project. I did think about going straight from the box , but then thought......Nah! Ive made a start on the cockpit. I didnt want to get any aftermarket stuff for this area , i wanted to add details with plasticard. HUGE Thanks To DaveT here for sending me some gteat photos. The cockpit so far is fairly accurate but the diagonal strips with the holes in are not. I have the basics so far , i now need to do all of the wires and plumbing etc. Its not going to be 100% accurate as i want to keep the kits canopy sills so i can open and close the canopy to keep the dust out. I have al
