  4. Thank you. OK rear deck finally done.
  5. Another hour or so later.....still loads to add to this area.
  6. Heres the first 2 steps done on the rear deck. Lots more to add yet.
  7. Heres the next stages. Lots of parts to go on these , especially the rear deck. Heres the easy shot , the before one! A couple of hours work this evening and here are the results. I havent done the rear deck yet but heres the docking tunnels. Some of these parts are so ridiculously tiny they make your eyes bleed!!
  8. Clear cast parts will look awesome. Would you imbed an LED into the resin before it sets or just light it from behind? I have a display case for mine that i had made years ago for my old finemolds falcon. Im not using the stand its ugly. I have a plan with an old Slave 1 stand.
  9. Thanks guys. The only reason i have done it the way i have is because thats the way i always have. Im sure there are other ways. I also figured that if for some resistor went then just 1 led would go out instead of the whole lot? Im no electronics expert! Taken from ebay where i got them. 10. Heres the engine. I have tried normal LEDs in the past but you get light hotspots and its not solid enough. The next one i used electroluminescent sheet and that looked great , but the invertor hum was too annoying. Sooo wide angle LEDs seem to the way to go. There are 13 in the engine. I then fixed a white piece of plasticard over the front to diffuse the light into a soft glow. I want to keep it white without the grill as that is how it looked in the original untouched films. So thats the engine done. The cockpit was simple. Ive used fibre optics in the past but to be honest theres
  11. Its the best injection molded kit i have ever owned and that includes the Tamiya Spitfire
  12. Well here i am again with another FM Falcon. This time i have refined all of my lighting techniques. I will also be building this as my model not as the studio miniature , so it will have washes etc and the clear windows instead of the frames only. This Falcon came from ebay for £150. Now i know that sounds alot but the ones i have had in the past have all been £200 plus so i was well chuffed when i won it. I plan on having an internal battery that will go in the boarding ramp compartment. There will also be 2 hidden switches. One for the engine , cockpit and gunwell lights , and one for the
  13. looking for ZOTZ 1/32 P-47D Thunderbolts ETO decal sheet product # ZTZ32-011 or just the markings for "in the mood" please
  14. I remember it well. I watched it live on the BBC. Horrendous. image via google.
  15. Thanks chaps.Rescribe one? are you insane??!! lol. luckily the weather is good today so i have managed to prime the Peacemaker. All of my joints are rubbed down well but the wing to fuselage needs attention. There is quite a big step on one side.
  16. This is the original release of the kit from the 80s. I love the artwork on the old Monogram boxes. This model came from the Southern expo years ago. I wanted the original issue for the SAC decals and the jet pods. Its been in this state for a while so i think i may kick start it again. First thing it needs is a good wash. Theres a few years of dust on this one. Hopefully i can get some primer on it before the rain comes later in the week. For those who dont know the size of the B-36 , here it is next to a 1/72 Nimrod. For the finish i think im going to go with Halford Alluminium wi
  17. Heres the latest. I have added some more supports to the stand to allow me to have the plane either way up on it. Yup i have too much time on my hands! I have also reshaped the prop blades a little. They just did nok right to me. They were a bit too paddled for my liking. Here are the parts i have assembled aswell. I may add some extra details to them yet.
  18. Today i added the tiny levers around the cockpit. Everything in the cockpt is now finished. Now its on with the rear fuselage and turret.
  19. Thanks Guys They are very hard to find in stock here in the UK. I dont even think Hannants had them in.
  20. Ive been trying to get another TBM for a long while , but as stated elsewhere they are getting thin on the ground. Luckily a friend of mine came to the rescue with this kit. Being short of money at the moment i have decided to add any detail from wire , plasticard and foil. First thing i did was the seat. I made the cushion from Milliput and then punched the buttons in with the end of a cut off Q tip. The depressions were then added with the cotton end. The belts are made from the gold foil from the top of a new Hot Chocolate tin. The buckles were cut from the kit belts and attached to the fo
  21. Theres a few videos out there of a Tomcat making a flyby with an F-18 inverted above it. Does anyone know what markings they both had , and does anyone do them in 1/32? Thanks
