  1. By stealth mode, I'm guessing you mean a joke photo. Otherwise, all of the F-117s are stored online in hangars at Tonopah.
  2. No, there is no show this year, as there is a base inspection that would interfere with it, probably related to the special items they have at Nellis. A Thunderbirds team member told me they would be going to every other year, but we'll have to wait and see about that. As many cities still have yearly shows, I would be surprised if Nellis makes cuts to their show.
  3. Yes, to start. I plan to do both USAF versions and both NASA version, and one or two modernized what-if ones.
  4. Hopefully soon, the sprues and decals have been shown. I've already paid for four, but I imagine the shipping will be six weeks, so it will still be quite a wait.
  5. When I have talked to pilots from VFC-12, they've said they use the term aggressors, it's not just an Air Force term. I dont think the pilots are that concerned with distinct terminology.
  6. I have dozens of the original Hasegawa version. If you want I can send you some.
  7. Does anyone know what colors the ECM pods are for Chile's F-16s? I believe they have both ALQ-184 and ALQ-131, but I have not seen photos of them. Are they Light Ghost Gray, or are they painted Gull Gray to match the aircraft? Thanks for any help. Brian
  8. The Razorback one is the same as the original A/C, but I wouldn't put much value in the weapons sprue. The sidewinders aren't very good, the bombs are MK 83s, the GPU pod is rarley used - that just leaves the triple Maverick load. Brian
  9. On my current project (Navy F-16), I used Xtracolor 15190 and I am not happy with the results. I think that Humbrol Hu48 might be the only close paint match. I haven't had much luck with the MM Flanker colors either. Brian
  10. The Maverick triple launcher was the LAU-88, not the TER and that is not used on the F-18 (and probably not at all anymore). The Hornet always carries single Mavericks.
  11. I'm going to be ambitious and try to add a third entry for this build: Hasegawa 1/48 F-16A modified to an F-16A ADF of the 148th FW, Minnesota ANG, using part from the Revell ADF kit, a Black Box cockpit, and Superscale decals.
  12. Thanks for the replies. Since the Cutting Edge decals seem hard to come by, I'll probably have to give printing my own a shot. Brian
  13. Now that winter is approaching here in the North, I find myself in a yearly dilemma. Rather than taking the winter off as usual, I'd like to stay productive. The problem is the forced air furnace- it circulates bad paint fumes all over the house. My only option is to paint in the garage. I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem, and any ideas to overcome it. I'm wondering at what point it gets to cold for the paint to work. Thanks for any ideas. Brian
  14. I'm joining in with 2 Hasegawa F-16A's (1/48) Both will be done as NSAWC Adversaries with Two Bobs decals, one blue and one gray. Brian
  15. Dave, thanks for the info. Does anyone know of a decal sheet in 1/48 that would have the modern NASA logo? I found one that had it in black, but not red. Thanks. Brian
  16. Does anyone have any information about NASA's F-16A? I've only found 3 pictures of this aircraft, and I'm wondering when it changed from the factory combat scheme to the all white scheme. Also, at what point did the number change from NA516 to 816? Specifically, I'm wondering if the all-white scheme ever used the old NASA logo, or if always used the new one that's currently on the aircraft as its displayed. Thanks for any help. Brian
  17. Just to be more clear this time: it is Ghost scheme of 35237, 36307, and 36251 (Medium Gray, Light Sea Gray, and Navy Aggressor Gray). As the picture showed VF-43 painted all of their aircraft (F-5, T-38, A-4, F-21) in the same colors. This color scheme was also used on the F-16N, and it is the same as the one used by Greece (and their F-16s).
  18. I would guess that the colors are the Ghost scheme of 35237, 36307, and 36251. Now if I could just find a 1/48 T-2, I'd build one myself. Brian
  19. Hasegawa has them in Weapons Set D, and also the F-16N, and Revell includes them in the F-16A ADF kit. I think they are just as easy to make though.
  20. Euro I uses 2 greens and a gray (34092/34102 & 36081) The SAC scheme uses 2 Grays, 36081 & 36118 (on the underside) and one green, 34086 (on top)

    F-16C

    Here's a photo I took this summer of a 148th FW jet. F-16 Brian
  22. I posted what I have here I see you found the same thing, I must have taken it from here myself. Brian
  23. The colors are 33448 and 33711, I got the colors from Lifecolor. The underside was left 36375. I have a low quality scan of the pattern from a decal sheet that contained that aircraft, although I can't remember who made it. Brian
  24. The Duluth airshow was the best one I've been to. Unfortunately their website listed start time as 11:30, Which was the time I got there and it was well underway. I missed the B-2 completely and I just caught the F-16 demo as they landed, which were the two things I really wanted to see. I was definitely surprised by the protesters out front. I took a few hundred pictures and I'll post a couple and probably add a few walkarounds. Brian
