  1. Thank you all; Hi Lancer. I went as photos show and did the same on an F-18F Super Hornet which is around here on ARC. I cut leading edge flaps and trailing edge flaps at hinge line. Flaps were then files in shape at hinge line. The small flap cover (forward part of flap) was cut in thin plasticard - It appears as a white part in fourth construction photo then cemented in place (dee 5th, 7th and 8th construction photos). Main flaps was later glued in position. Regards Eric B.
  2. Hello Since photographs have been lost over time (remember Imageshack!!) may I re-post some detail photographs of building here. Regards, all Eric B.
  3. This one is an old project as it was started back in 2008 for the "Mac Air legacy 30th anniversary in 2008" (9 years ago!!). Long, long build, abandonned several times - happily some other projects were completed meanwhile. I decided to give it a few weeks ago as it was actually close to being completed. Lesson learnt, I should never to that again and take so much time to complete a project : loss of motivation, repairs on details/paint/putty add a lot of additional time. Finally here it is... Spotlight photographs
  4. Hello, Not a newly finished kit, but one that has been repaired several (3) times after moving my home across the Atlantic. Last time it was damaged was when I moved back to Europe in 2011. It was left with broken antennaes, landing gears and doors, pylons and pods, canopies did not resist either. It was left beside eversince and might have been broken for parts, had I not been building an S-3B Viking (long, long building process on this one!!) Well just to make the story short, I restarted the Viking build bringing it close to completion and moved the Prowler from
  5. Hello, I always knew the Hasegawa EA-6B with engraved panel lines... and always regretted that the S-3 Viking which was released about the same time had raised panel lines. The 1/72 Hasegawa Viking is a good kit but would have been perfect with engraved panel lines.. Besides Aires, there is/was an older resin cockpit set which was originally released under the Golden Dragon name (I guess now Superbug). I have one set, never used it : it looks quite busy but probably a bit less sharp than the Aires moulding. Cheers Eric B.
  6. Hola! Very nice model, sharp building. I really appreciate seing airliners models too. Yours is outstanding Congratulations Eric B.
  7. Hi Andrew Aires released SJU seats along their A-7 cockpit sets (2 different versions - early with Escapac seat and late with SJU seat). Only I am not sure at all they ever released seats alone as they did with NACES seats for instance. Regards Eric B.
  8. HI all, I am very surprised by what I can read here comparing Hobbycraft and Hasegawa early B747s. I really thought they were the same kit and what I see strongly reminds me of what I know of the Hasegawa B747-100/200 in 1/200th scale! Could this be a rework of the Hasegawa kit? Besides beware, though I like your work on correcting forward fuselage shapes do not be overconfident over the Entex/Nitto/Doyusha B747 shapes. Although an impressive kit that can be built (with work) as an impressive model it is not known for its utmost accuracy : fuselage hump is su
  9. ... And the information is spreading around me.. !! Eric B.
  10. Wow, Absolutely obviously another book for me! Cheers Eric B.
  11. Hello, Beautiful model, I really like it. Well build, painted and weathered, and photographs are sharp! Congratulations.. Eric B.
  12. Wow, Great information indeed. Just bought two of your 1/72 Delfins and given quality of this little gem, I'll long waiting for the Kfir. Ditto here : date? Regards Eric
  13. Hi, Very nice Sea Harrier here. I like your style. Neat, lively, subtelely weathered end nice details added where needed. That's a real nice model. Cheers Eric B.
  14. Arne, Congratulations, this is fantastic job so far and I am sure you will carry on that way. The 1/72nd Hasegawa model of the Tomcat is my favorité kit of my favorite airplane - bar maybe the much newer Fine Molds F-14D model. You are precisely proving how valuable that 25+ year old moulding still is.. I love your post and will follow it's development to the end. Cheers Eric B.
  15. Wow, Congratulations, fantastic job really. Very very sharp models that can stand big size photographs which is a demonstration of the care you brought building them. 1/72nd models do not easily withstand the macro photo test.. What's more is considering you started from the Hasegawa model and had to rescribe the whole model, what you did in an extremelly sharp manner making one to believe it was done by the Hasegawa engineers themselves.. ;) Great great job. Eric B.
  16. Hi, Thank you dearly, On colours I meant to represent my TUDM Mig-29 in the second livery ie after aircraft were repainted in the same original pattern but with US paint references (delivery camo was russian original camo/colours). Information from the very good and well documented decal sheet instructions I got called for FS36314 for the grey colour and FS34226 for the green. I paint mainly with Gunze acrylic paints and I therefore started from ref. H334 Barley Grey and ref. H302 (actually green FS34227 ie Light green on Israeli aircraft) These colours were altered with bits of other
  17. Hi Ioannis, I am also seriously waiting for that one. Anytime, just tell me Cheers Eric B.
  18. Zark, Niki, Thank you really... Zark LOL Best regards Eric B.
  19. Hello, Thank you dearly all for your very kind comments.. Ryan, you are right : that is one of the reasons I choosed that one plus there is a bunch of very good decals for them on the market. Cheers Eric B.
  20. Hello all My latest comleted built a Mig-29N from the Malaysian AF (TUDM) Model is the Italeri Mig-29A with some resin addition : nose cone, jet exhausts, cockpit. Aircraft is depicted without the IFR probe that has been added to Malaysian Fulcrums. IFR probes are removable for maintenance. This is an old project started 3-4 years ago and in any way long before the newer Zvezda or Trumpeter Mig-29 were in sight. I was working on this one very slowly as a side project, rescribing panel lines, adding Rivet lines or adjusting resin parts. When I heard about newer Fulcrums in 1/72nd scale I
  21. Hi Received mine here in France today and found it this evening upon return from a professionnal trip. greeaat book as always Ioannis..Thanks Eric B.
  22. Hi, Just wonderning : do you mean Iranian? or Iraqi? I am asking because I believe Iranian F-16s never were delivered which makes your Iranian project a what if project...while your questions ask "Color codes" and "are they the same" as if you are talking about reality which might make me understand your projrct as Iraqi? Sorry to ask, not willing to spoil any of you interest... Best regards Eric B.
  23. Yessss I had Modern Eagle Guide 1st edition and just ordered 2nd edition.. Could not delay ordering... just because... I wanted to be sure to get my copy... asap Eric B.
  24. Hi Hello, Thank you dearly Just one additional shot with her sister F-4E from the same stable.. Eric B.
  25. Great info : VC-10 and C-141!! C-141 has been on my wishlist for years, especially after I was able to put my hands on a 1/144 C-5 a few years back. Until then the C-5 was my aim, then it was the C-141. I was surprised the C-141 did not catch more manufacturers interest.. well done Roden. Eric B.
