  1. Thank you all Took the opportunity to take pictures in daylight today. And now I can present you that Greek RF-4E under the sun : were it belongs Cheers Eric B.
  2. Aaaargh, You are 100% right : just because I forgot to mention (post #17) this one but it is on my wishlist for sure!! Eric B.
  3. Hi Ziggyfoos, From my books (mostly Naval Fighters/Ginter books : "A-4E/F in NAVY Service" and "A-4E/F in Marine Service" on this subject) I tried to spot any photograph with and overwing view in both books. From photos of actual aircraft in the "A-4E/F in NAVY Service" book, possible exceptions notwithstanding, I confirm your observation on USN aircraft : some aircraft without walkways (or at least with no visible ie maybe light grey coloured??), some with dark walkways : those with dark walkways are the long version on A-4Es, shorter version on A-4Fs. From the sister book "A-4E/F in
  4. Hello all Thank you dearly for your comments Damn, you are 100% right. What I ever fear! Out of the hundreds of little operations on any model, just forget something obvious. And this one is obvious. Thank you.. Steven, thank you : same as above : I figured that for the walkways and missed that on the anti glare panel. I re-checked my documentation for the walkways largely from the Naval Fighters book series : strangely, what seems to be the rule on US NAVY aircraft seems not to be the case on US MARINES aircraft. It seems (as you described) the US NAVY differs on lengh of painted
  5. Hi All Actually one of my late 2015 release. This is a Me 262B-1a. Information an painting details were found on the excellent Japo book "Messerschmidt Me 262s of KG and KG(J) units de la série Luftwaffe over czeckoslovakia" featuring photos of original aircraft and well designed and documented 4 view colour plans. I am not part of the Luftwaffe experten but I gew an interest in the late war painting, at which time standardisation was impacted by paint availablility and production problems and aircraft show repaints, patches, replacement parts etc.. Once I choosed the aircraft I wanted
  6. Wow Ioannis, Great news indeed.. I was just trying! You can count in 100% for both books Cheers Eric
  7. Hi Ioannis, I will sure get one from you but... if "Phantom under the skin" is dedicated to the F-4E AUP, if fear it means you need to release a "Recce Phantom under the skin" book in the future. The HAF flies both slatted and unslatted RF-4s with square or round recce noses if I get it right!! Pardon me if I ever want more of your books!! Eric B.
  8. Hi Jennings Thank you for your kind reply. No urge induced in my question - Just asking because of interest. And I forgot an obvious aspect : need to fit to actual model. I have two 1/72 F-106 coming but so many projects before. I'll wait and buy when available . Regards Eric B.
  9. Hi Jennings I have to ask : now the Meng F-106 is out when can we expect release of the Fundekals sheets? Regards Eric B.
  10. Great news Be not tempted... Wether you love the F-106 or not, if you love 1/72nd scale modeling just get yourself one. I saw the parts in Telford, I sure don't know how it builds but this is (one of?) the finest 1/72nd scale model engineering I ever saw. Mine were on pre-order (2 kits), I feared the long délaying of say both the 1/72nd scale Wolfpack-D T-2C Buckeye or Platz Mistubishi T-2/F-1 (also extremelly beutiful kits by the way) but this time model seems to be on time.. Great effort by Meng. Regards Eric B.
  11. Beautiful model really, nice paint, clean build. ... and I must confess I did not know that livery at all : I knew disruptives (green/tan/brown..) camos on Czech or Polish Fulcrums and I am very interested in discovering some on Russian machines. Thank you. Eric B.
  12. Hello, 2015 also : a 1/72nd scale Fujimi A-4E Skyhawk. For this project I wanted a US aircraft (NAVY or MARINES), light gull grey/white scheme and humpless only to find out there were not so many decals available for this configuration (expecting the forthcoming AOA decals A-4 sheet in 1/72nd scale then). I found my decals on a Wolfpak ddesign sheet for a VMA-121 aircraft in 1967-68 flying from Chu Lai - So USMC it was!! An Aires cockpit was used to improve the area, slat rails were replaced with thinner rails I cut from a thin pasticard sheet, a few bits were added on land
  13. Hi, Here is my latest 2015 build : a Hasegawa RF-4E in 1/72nd scale, in Greek markings (ex Luftwaffe machine - although if colours look like the original German Camo, 7499 is seen after repaint in different colours and camo scheme). Kit : As for all my 1/72nd GE engined Phantoms, kit is from the Hasegawa stable. Decals : Icarus decals mainly Improvements : * Wings : with the usual corrections ie cutting airbrales, ailerons and opening additional underbelly air intakes.. * Cockpit : I know an RF-4E cockpit is not exactly an F-4F cockpit but I used an Aires resin cockpit which is
  14. Hi not2p AFAIK, the owner of Wolfpack design announced the plan for their own new tooling items including F-5E/F, T-38A/C, RF-8A/G in 1/72. Some of them were cancelled due to the announcement of other manufacturers (1/72 F-106, I guess). Since they have been busy designing items for some Chinese companies, their own lineup seems to be released slowly. Yes, that is pretty much the information I grabbed (probably here on ARC) earlier around the mid of this year, and that is why I mentionned them on this wish. I really noticed as F-106, F-5E/F and T-38 were a the very top of my list (RF-8 w
  15. Hi all, Jackman, Inquisitor : thank you for the information : I stand corrected. I myself have an SG boxing with a secondary intention to build it as an E (but I also have very nice Singapore AF decals.) Anyhow I know now if I want an E, I'd have to look out for these forward pylons.. In the same move, Hayo, sorry for the incomplete information; another proof that one should alwayrs check twice. Cheers Eric B.
  16. Hi Hajo, From what I know the 1/72nd scale Hasegawa F-15K (Korea) and F-15SG (Singapore) boxings have all the needed parts (and more) - bar decals of course - to build a "new" (upgraded) Hasegawa F-15E Strike Eagle. * Tree S are GE engines (not in F-15E boxing) * Tree A are additionnal weapons (and must be in new F-15E boxing IIRC) * Trees J/Q are new pylons/CFTs/details developped for "new" F-15E boxings (this makes the update worth and are included in the F-15E "new" boxing) * Tree K are antennas (I think they are in "new" F-15E boxing IRCC) Basically all included to build a modern St
  17. Hi, Really nice T-45 here. I have the same project (and Kursad decals) to be dealt with in the future. I am aware of some corrections to be made, can grossly list them, but will certainly have to look deeper in my documentation before I can start anything.. Until then your model is "Inspiration". Great result TBP, and yes I like it!! Cheers Eric B.
  18. Hello, If I could dream a bit, but yes Meng satisfied my number one wish with the forthcoming F-106 in 1/72nd scale and I take it for grantes Eduard will release a Spitfire and Mig-21 series in the future... All 1/72nd scale and trying to link a company with aircraft model Nortrop F5E/F : Wolfpack Design Vought F4U-4 : Hasegawa Republic F-84F Thunderstreak : Revell Republic P-47N Thunderbolt : Academy Douglas A-26 Invader family : Hasegawa (have B-25 Mitchell and B-26 Marauder series in mind) Lockheed F-80 : Platz (just work your T-33 little kit out) NA FJ-3 Fury : Hobby Boss (I ha
  19. Hi We definitely need a good F-5E/F in 1/72nd scale! Surprising how such an important aircraft used in so many countris with so many liveries is by model manufacturers Let's hope AFV Club, Wolfpack Design' Academy or the like! Eric B.
  20. Great Will be waiting for the 72nd scale release (I already got myself the A-6 and OV-10 sheets) I recently built an 1/72 Fujimi A-4E in VMA-121 markings and found out there are not so many decals available for A-4Es' especially in humpless version. Greatgreat info, I'll get both A-4 sheets Regards Eric B.
  21. Falcon20 Hi Here is my reference on this question http://www.clubhyper.com/reference/updatingyourvikingbs_1.htm Regards Eric B.
  22. Yesss, Ioannis that is great news indeed. I am now the happy owner of 7 of your books that I all got in short order after I discovered your "Viper under the skin" book somme weeks ago. That's how I like 'em. First your 348th squadron book was kept open for my RF-4E project (now completed - I still have to post photos here on ARC) and it was a huge help. I completed this build basically with your book in my left hand and airbrush in the right hand. Great photos and beautiful details. Then, I was planning a Singapore F-16D bl52+ but due to a lack of information on Singapore F-16s and the a
