  1. Hello, Count me seriously for (any) 1/72nd scale sheet. To start with I will order both the A-6 and OV-10 sheets as soon as they are available. Cheers Eric B.
  2. Hi Paul, Yes Paul, Hasegawa did. I had hoped they would upgrade their F-15E 1/72nd kit for years after seing how they earnestly upgraded their Tomcat to B and D versions and also did the same with their Viper models which they upgraded to block 40-52s and up. Not always perfect but very close. And then even their Super Hornet kits to later lots too. They finally upgraded their F-15 kits with great result I think. It rate Hasegawa as a very serious brand. They may use their moulding infinately releasing myriad of versions but they dare add new parts to update their models. Their F-15E n
  3. .. and don't forget there is a Fujimi F-22 kit too? I like it's scribing very much, it's very sharp and I might well rate it even above the Academy kit which I also rate over the Revell kit. Review below http://www.fightercontrol.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=313&t=22564 Price tag might be over other F-22 though depending where you can get it from.. Cheers Eric B.
  4. Hello, Thank you both I wonder too...and where are the models? :sunrevolves:/>/> Yes they are, 1/72nd scale ;^D) - Hasegawa F-4, Fujimi A-7 Cheers Eric B.
  5. Hi, I am love weathering and I am a huge fan of Greek aviation. I have done a part already with an A-7E and F-4E in 1/72nd scale and I am just starting an RF-4E currently. But I am a slow modeller and I am not sure I will be able to follow any pace.. Still I'd love to aim end of this year!! Cheers Eric B.
  6. HI Paul, I am 1/72nd guy, and the FJ-3 Fury has been placed very high on my want list for years now - along with the FJ-4 (the Emhar kit is not to current modeling standards) and an good F-84F just to talk about this frame of time. I probably have a few more wishes but I won't talk these ones as they are from others eras.. Cheers Eric B.
  7. Hi, Greaat. I have been a Modern Hobbies customer for each of your 1/72nd scale cockpit refs.. Now ChippyWho got it right... I'd also say F and that's the way I would like things be done. Gman, very good point if you plan things that way. And I am not 100% technically sure (would need to check) but I believe nfiler also probably gets a very strong point here with is "commonality" proposal. Cheers.. You can be sure I'll be in anyhow for E/F/Growler versions of your cockpits.. Eric B.
  8. Hi, No, terrorists were killed today but 4 hostages were killed also. Total casualties is 20 dead since wednesday in these events : * 12 at Charlie Hebdo * 1 young policewomen killed in Paris streets in seperate attack - she was murdered in random. * 2 terrorists (the Charlie Hebdo murderers - One woman free, it seems she actually never was spotted by the two terrorist brothers in the building they had rushed in * 4 hostages killed in seperate assault * 1 other terrorist shot dead in a different spot and action. This might end of a first series of action. Country obviously shocked
  9. Just call me Charlie! Three suspects are said to have been identified. Not sure if this act of terrorism was widely organized or if it was perpetruated by a bunch of criminals who believed they had a mission. We'll know later. The country obviously is shoched today. Cheers Eric B.
  10. Thanks again for all replies Joe, never noticed there was a difference between them... by the may my opportunity is a Hasagawa prop. Great then.. Cheers Eric B.
  11. Hello, Thank you dearly, you both. Very useful information you gave me. I will therefore use a Hasegawa or Academy propeller on my project. The Ultracast site even gives an idea of the correction I'll probably have to do as it appears the Hasegawa propeller has the same exagereted curve/flaw than "inaccurate AMT Tigercat prop". I'll have to reshape all three blades at their leading edge bottom. Very good and thanks again. Cheers Eric B.
  12. Hi all, I thought I could sort out this question easily. My 1/72nd scale academy model has a shord cord propeller, which is noy suitable for my F4U-1D project. I know the Academy model is a mix between -1A and -1D versions. Were the F6F and Corsair later wider chord 3 blade propeller the same (in which case I could grab an Academy Hellcat propeler). Thank you all. Cheers
  13. Wow, Congratulations, beautiful model indeed! I am looking forward to getting a copy of Wingmasters Vietnam Special Volume 2. Cheers Eric B.
  14. Hi Rex Then, would you please leave 1/72nd scale modeling now? ;)/> Cheers Eric B. PS : This being said, DC-4 is good news.. Rex did not read the posts above, still you're right : 1/72 is well and alive yet there are some great airplanes that might still need a good 1/72 model (P-47N, F4U-4, F-84F, FJ-3, FJ-4 to list a few) Cheers EB.
  15. Hi all, Did G-factor release F-18A/B/C/D (legacy Hornet) landing gears in 1/72nd scale. I would be very interested but can't find them. Any of you might have reference or link? I was presently trying to collect Italeri or other plastic landing gears but G-factor would be a preferred option. Cheers.. Eric B.
  16. Hi Eli, This photo is a photo I shot of my smaller 1/72nd scale model based on the hasegawa F-4E model. I used some good information that was so kindly forwarded by fellow Greek modellers (Double Ugly and Mmaker : hello my friends, I am still so thankful..) Parts were either Hasegawa (including the air intakes ECM fairings which were stolen from a F-4N Hasegawa kit), some were cut from plasticard and cockpit was altered to include modern screens..) As far as I know there is no kit in either 1/48th (or 1/72nd scale for that matter) to make an F-4E AUP Peace Icarus (unless a small industry
  17. Hi all, Thank you dearly for your kind replies. I have tried some google search aroung the "Glacier Girl" and "Lost squadron" wording that mostly brought back information about the original P-38 only (I know GG is the original P-38 by the way). I was not sure but so few information about the other aircraft of the same "Lost Squadron" flight led me to conclude that the other aircraft were not recovered what you basically confirm. Thank you. Cheers Eric B.
  18. Hi all, I came to remember the story of the "Lost squadron", when 5 (or 6) P-38s and 2 B-17s landed in Greenland in 1942 and eventually were covered by snow and had to be abandonned. Snow turned to iced and aircraft were lost until the 90s when a P-38 (Glacier Girl) was recovered and later returned to flying condition. I wonder if anybody knows what happened to the other aircraft. Were they found? recovered? tranferred? repaired? Thanks for any information. Cheers Eric B.
  19. Hi, Having built a Hasegawa EA-6B myself, using basic cockpit floor and consoles part+ Eduard photoetched parts + resin seat with the aim to build it as a fair model I found out that the Hasegawa part leaves a very narrow position for seats. As I understand you build is closing completion I only figure fuselage and most parts cementes and you are well into the detailing process. I guess no aftermarket resin seat will fit (I personnaly have Aires, Verlinden, Pavla, True Details, Neomega and more 1/72 resin GRU-7s...) If I remember correctly the True details resin seats are undersized a
  20. Pirata, I'd probably need to check but if I remember correctly the Revell 1/72 F-104A/C model includes wheels of the early type. I don't know if these kits still are available but you might like to get one and copy its wheels. I cannot handle the technique myself but a few modelers know how to replicate parts with resin; as you seem to be an early Starfighter lover and seem to still have some in your projects (+ some to correct) this might be a solution? Cheers Eric B.
  21. Hi I am Tomcat fan and the Hasegawa Tomcat is one of the models I prefer! Not an easy kit but a good base for beautiful result : what you achieved here. I love your Tomcat very much, you seldom see such a weathered result on US Navy 1/72 models. Congratulations really. Cheers Eric B.
  22. Vlad, very very nice model here. Congratulations. I am myself building a Hasegawa S-3B currently and I really appreciate your work. Nice and fine surface details, beatiful painting and a very sharp model .... and that seems to be the first time I see a "complete" ES-3A in 1/72nd scale (although the added white metal parts in the Hasegawa model they still miss the bulged ventral bay doors. I very recently bought the resIM set. Where do your windscreen wipers come from?... Great modelling and a pleasure to the eyes... Cheers Eric B.
  23. Hello, No doubt it has to me the Hasegawa model... and by far! Either Air Force or NAVY were released. Cheers Eric B.
  24. Hi all, This is my tiny ICM Polikarpov I-16. Model is very good, a lovely little butterfly very well designed and produced by ICM. I am a Hasegawa fan really but this time I confess (though I do have both kits in my stash) I prefer the ICM moulding over the Hasegawa work. Model was started long long ago (probably between 4 and 6 years ago which is long for such a tiny airplane model) as kind of a side project (I am not a specialist of WW2 VVS aviation). Fact is model was continually pushed aside. Earlier this year i decided i should complete this model partly.... because I wanted it fini
  25. Hi, it is really fantastic job here. I love your weathering : it brings your model to real US NAVY looks. That is great, great modeling Sir. Cheers Eric B.
