  1. Is anyone near completion of that big sucker? Some pics would be great if anyone has.
  2. I got my Academy 1/32 F/A-18C from Luckymodel.com. Shipping was like 50 bucks! But I still managed to save 70 bucks compared if I would have bought it here in Montreal. I'm just waiting for my leading Edge CF-18 decals. The should come in shortly. They left my huge box on my front porch! I almost freaked out when I got home from work. Atleast now I don't have to pick it up at the post office! I can't wait to start!
  3. I used paramfilm M for the first time last week. It was pretty brainless, I thought there would be more to it than that. I just wrapped the canopy with it twice, pressing firmly on the glass and frame. Then used my knife to cut out the frame. Sprayed the canopy, let dry, and removed the film. I don't think I ever had a better looking canopy before. I forgot where I had bought it but its pretty common I believe. Wulf
  4. I'm using detailing my cockpit now and I would like to have some seat belts. What are some quick and easy techinques when approaching seat belt making? I don't really want to spend the money on an aftermarket up date. Thanks
  5. Thanks for all the advice. But how long should the future dry for before I add the wash. It's my first time using future, so I am use unsure of how it reacts. I love the ease of use and application. I always used model master clear coat sprays to get my gloss coat before doing my sludge washes and I never had problems. I tried the pastel chalk technique, but I could never crush the chalk fine enough for it to mix properly with the water and soap. I always get little gains.
  6. Hi, My last experience with Future and "sludge wash" was a total flop! I coated my plane with future, let it dry for 24 hours, placed the decals, yet another coat of future. then I let it dry again for another 24 hours...perhaps a little less. Maybe it was closer to 18 to 20. Then I prepared my sludge wash. I used Tamiya acrylic paint, some water and some dishwashing detergent. At first things were looking good, so I coated the panel lines with the wash. After letting it sit for 15 to 30 mins, I started to notice some sludge starting to solidify!!! :D I tried to wipe it off but it w
  7. Hi Guys, I recently bought Trumpeter's F4U-4 Corsair. I painted it with Model Master's "Dark Sea Blue" FS 15042. The plane looks great. (Sorry no pictures) But I would like to accentuate the panel lines and rivets just a bit. Since the Dark Sea blue is really dark, there seems no point in putting a dark wash in the recessed lines. I am also afraid that putting a lighter wash would look unrealistic. After looking at some color reference pictures from Airliners.net, I barely see any panel lines over the dark paint job. So would it be a acceptable to leave it as is? I am uncertain of how I sho
