  3. Hi Eric, That aircraft was actually in a three tone scheme, details here from an article written by Ed Yarborough which may have been published in an IPMS USA magazine: Entire undersides (everything thing below the wing line) were FS36440 except the outsides of the ventral fins which were FS36270. Light grey on upper surface was FS36270. Dark grey on upper surface was FS36076. Wing walk way lines were painted FS36270 on top of FS36076 and vice versa on surfaces painted FS36270. The two fuselage national insignia had FS36270 stars and FS36076 bars and disc - the wing marking was the other

  7. Thanks Jari. I'm getting some good stuff by googling 'munitions trailer' and checking out 'usaf ammo' on facebook but I still haven't found pics of AGM-45s or -78s about to be loaded onto Weasels. Cheers, Haydn.
  8. Does anybody have pictures (or knowledge) of how these weapons are transported on the flight line to the aircraft ? Are they carried 'in the open' on trailers like AIM-9s and AIM-7s or are they transported in containers like AGM-65s ???? All help appreciated ! Cheers, Haydn.
  9. Hi Jonah - did you download the pdf at the bottom of the page in that link ? (it has at least one pic of each of the 23 B-52s) Cheers, Haydn.
  10. Honest - this would have been finished if I hadn't run out of black paint
  11. Finished by the skin of their teeth ! (I'll take better pictures when I get a chance)... Cheers, Haydn.
  12. The door outlines, 'cut here' markings etc....
  13. Will you be doing full colour stencils for the early aluminium/ADC Grey schemes at all ? Haydn.
  14. Hi John, I'll be going with the ideas suggested by Jennings and Gmat here... http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=182147&st=0&p=1699389&hl=ec-97&fromsearch=1entry1699389 Yep, white over grey ! Cheers, Haydn.
  15. What we really really need is a set of stencils/rescue markings and walkways for the whole C-135 family over it's entire life span. Jennings, your C-97 decal sheet should set the standard for a good -135 sheet. Haydn.
  16. Check the pics on here.... http://www.air-and-space.com/Boeing%20C-97.htm and have a search on Airliners.net for EC-97G
  17. Just started work on this one. I left it till last because I knew it was a good kit and I don't have any major changes to make... Cheers, Haydn.
  18. I've been hung up on this build trying to figure a way to make the small intakes in the wing leading edge look more convincing. I finally found something I'm happy with... Small plastic letters made by a company called Slaters. They are intended to make station name signs on railway layouts but by cutting a number '8' in half and sticking the bits together I finally got the intake shape I was after. Now on with the cockpit ! Haydn.
  19. Doesn't seem like ten years since we put on this display.... http://www.usaf-sig.org/index.php/component/content/article/47-downloads/478-usaf-sig-display-at-the-ipms-nationals-telford-2002 Cheers, Haydn.
