  1. The show is a highlight of the modelling calendar...not to be missed....just bring lots of money, a credit card, and a camera....you'll not regret it. B)
  2. Me, Saturday and Sunday. Helping out with the obligatory "rubber chicken". Also on the IPMS Stafford, What if?SIG and Quarter Scale Group stands, amongst others.
  3. Nice grey T-33B. Thanks. Thanks for your help, it looks unlikely there was one. Ah well, nice idea.
  4. Chaps, I need help. Were there any USN T-33Bs that lived long enough to be painted in USN tactical greys? Thanks, Terry
  5. Alvis, don't worry about the rivet detail. There is some dispute about it all.....the machine makers at Dusseldorf were on a tea break and miss counted the numbers on the plans, so you might have been right after all. Go get it from the trash can and call the stains "weathering". Happens on my pants all the time
  6. The Phantom is not only a beautiful model it is inspirational too. Fantastic modelling. :P
  7. Great looking model, Ian. And one of my favourite schemes too. I wouldn't be too pedantic about the cockpit colour. Be "certain" it's one option and you can guarantee an expert will pop out of the woodwork with photographic/documentary evidence to prove otherwise! ;)
  8. The Italeri kit is also cheap, easy to build, has a great decal sheet, and with parts included, you can build an AF F-4C or F-4D (early or late). I've got several Italeri kits...great for whiffing.....single-seat F-4D+ of the Pakistani AF?? ;)
  9. That's brilliant stuff! I remember it "first time round" on the What If site and it was glorious then, just wonderful now. Well done, Barry. A classic!!! Now then, when are you doing one of Gekko's Canadian Phantoms? Go on, you know you want to!!! :)
  10. A good source for British FGR2 Phantoms is: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...showtopic=14124 Some crackers there! :)
  11. Nice one, Chadders. Are you in work on Monday?
  12. Hey Nev baby, I'm not single or childless but I take the wife along too if I can to model shows....she's very useful at curtailling impulse buys and extremely useful for carrying boxes of models. IPMS member? We both are....just one big happy family. :D
  13. It's because he's got a sense of humour and is obviously a great guy. :D
  14. Hi Jon :D , I bought a couple of 1/72nd Canberra sheets (Model Alliance), a book about South American Wars which looks bonzer, and a couple of Hobby Boss 1/72nd Corsairs.....oh, and lots of cups of Hot Chocolate, tea, etc.. Great weekend.....I wish it could have gone on and on..... Terry
  15. Loved the photos....especially the Vulcan and VC-10 Aerobatic Teams.....but then, I would wouldn't I? Oh yeah, the Hurricanes looked nice too :D
