  1. Yeah, I've had those as well. You always know they're full of it when they go straight to a dispute, without so much as a single email or anything. I once had this genius in the Netherlands claim that they just brought him an empty box and charged him 200 euro for the customs fee. He went straight to PP with this claim, not a single message to me. I messaged him asking why he was doing this... No response. He wrote the complaint out to PP in his language, probably thinking I wouldn't be able to read it. But I translated it. Luckily, somebody informed me of who does the delivery there. So I wen
  2. Two separate auctions... One is a collection of various 1/72 aircraft kits and accessories... http://www.ebay.com/itm/162298992445 And the other is a collection of various 1/48 aircraft decal sets... http://www.ebay.com/itm/162299497731 Sorry, I'm not interested in breaking anything up. US destinations only.
  3. Yeah, we may as well go back to the days of using the Recycler to sell stuff... where you waste your whole weekend waiting for people to show up, and they never do. Or the people who do show up are totally nuts and don't actually have any money. It feels like eBay has descended to that level.
  4. This guy made a winning bid at the last minute on a bunch of aircraft kits I was selling, but didn't pay. Goes by "pw2830" (joseph webb) on eBay. I waited for two days, then politely asked when he was planning to pay. No response. I waited two more days and just said "Hello???" He responded back with just a date. Nothing else. I replied back... "I don't know what you're doing. Are you going to pay for this or what?" He said... "Yes" and repeated the date. That date of course came and went... No payment. Filed a non payment, so now I get to wait for days before I can do anything. Total time was
  5. Yeah, I had heard about those. So I guess 341 is gone then. A couple went out today. 305 on the range and 303 up to Whidbey. 305 should be 158926, but not sure about 303.
  6. That's a shame. I think Mugu is supposed to get rid of their 'billboard' models.
  7. I have a bunch of model stuff I would like to get rid of. I will never have time to work on them again. But I don’t really want to be bothered selling this stuff individually. I’m wondering if anybody might be interested in buying all of it together. I’ll list basically what I have. If there’s any serious interest I will get more detailed. 1/72 - Hasegawa F-18E VFA-137 1/72 - Hasegawa F-18E VFA-14 1/72 - Hasegawa F-18F VFA-41 1/72 - Hasegawa F-18C “Chippy Ho” 1/72 - Hasegawa Kfir Isreali 1/72 - Hasegawa Pilot / Ground Crew Set 1/72 - Hasegawa Weapons Set V 1/72 - Hasegawa Weapons Set V
  8. The photos were just examples of how they look. The guy who noticed this, noticed that two VFA-122 birds had one of each type, on each plane. So I guess the notch is the updated version, and it's just a fluke what each one might have, and they don't have to match?
  9. Someone mentioned this to me... I had never noticed. He said he was looking at some F/A-18s and noticed that the engine nozzle feathers were different. Not only jet to jet, but also two types on one jet. One appears to have notches cut out of the corners on each blade, and the other doesn't. I assume that corner was maybe sticking a bit, and the ones with the notch is an update? Anyway... I knew some smart people here would probably know what the deal is. Here's each type... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/38/FA-18.engines.RAAF.jpg http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/AWA1/6
  10. Just noticed this vid of that POW getting picked up. I can't quite tell... Does this look like a 160th ship? http://www.reuters.com/video/2014/06/04/dramatic-taliban-video-shows-dazed-bergd?videoId=313179952 Notice they waste no time leaving . :) Also looks to have the call number in the window.
  11. I was going to say... That rack doesn't seem like it would be well suited for a bike. The back part is pretty low, and it doesn't seem like fastening a bike on there would be very easy. I would think they'd be able to come up with something a lot better than that.
  12. This isn't mine... Just passing it along... http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/sixth-scale-action-figure-news-reviews-discussion/718991-oh6-front-cockpit-2014-a.html
  13. Yeah, there were a couple put out over the years for GI Joe and stuff, which guys have detailed. But there's also been some scratch built. Unfortunately I can't find some of them now. I did find a few. Loach project... http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/sixth-scale-action-figure-news-reviews-discussion/635958-pimp-my-loach-baby-update-feb-20-13-a.html Here's a partial H-60 cabin somebody did... http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/sixth-scale-action-figure-news-reviews-discussion/621120-wip-one-sixth-1-6-scale-blackhawk-helicopter-diorama-feb-28-update.html H-60 model... http://www.o
  14. Looks good so far. I have some shots at the bottom of this page... http://www.dpdproductions.com/page_emergallery_air1.html
  15. There's actually been a few people that have done it. I know they've definitely done H-6s. I think I posted one here a while back.
  16. Thanks guys. Yes, Soldier Story is probably the top maker of 1/6 sets. They made that 160th set a couple years back. It was about $115 at the time. There might be a few still floating around out there. It includes enough stuff to make any kind of crewman. I made the Blackwater guy from scratch, using parts I had from other sets and extra stuff I found. There's stores online that break up sets and sell the individual parts.
  17. Also did this 160th H-60 Pilot a while back. I plan to also do a back-end guy.
  18. Obviously not an actual helicopter, but maybe some of you guys will like it. I did this last year.
  19. Yeah, that's probably what they meant. But that would be pretty crazy if they had an actual pod they lay in. Those guys would deserve a higher pay grade. I've been looking into SeaSpray stuff, because I'm working on a 'what-if' 1/6 SeaSpray pilot figure.
  20. Thanks... Yeah, I can picture people grabbing that and breaking the mounts. On a different note... I noticed this, because I was reading about SeaSpray and they mentioned "people pods", referring to carrying people on the side, like the planks. Then I thought... Wow, what if they actually had pods people could lay in. I do recall seeing pod like add-ons on a couple SeaSpray suspect ships, but they didn't look big enough for that. I assumed they were fuel or cargo. They must have just been referring to the the planks, but an actually pod would be wild.
  21. Was just doing some research and stumbled across this shot. I'm sure some of you guys have seen this before, but I hadn't. Kind of interesting. Looks like it was shot around 09.
  22. Air Center Helos also has both. http://www.aircenterhelicopters.com/ They're in TX but do work all over and have DOD contracts. I've also seen the FBI guys out here in CA once in the blue copters. The local district has a nice gray 407 though.
  23. I would just pick a class of ship from the period that they would have been used on... start searching on the class designation or individual names of those ships... then add things like "helicopter". Then hit 'images' after you get returns. That will probably get you some stuff. The Navy site has lots of photos, but they might not go back far enough.
  24. Yeah, that one really stands out. Great work on the tank detail and all that. Awesome book on the X-15 is called "Hypersonic".
  25. Yeah, I agree. Perfect example would be the OBL thing. Boy, that brought out every arm chair "expert" they could find. Most of whom distributed a bunch of nonsense.
