  1. Probably not. I have had success in taping a photo copy of the decals sheet on top of the masking material, and using that as a guide to cut them out. If you are doing roundels, get a circle cutter/compass.
  2. I finished one not ling ago. It's a sweet kit. Pay attention to the fit on the fuselage halves under the cockpit. Take your time so you don't end up with large steps. I think Academy knows this can be an issue as there are a couple decals with replacement panel lines for this area. The thing it really needs is new burner cans. I used Wolfpack. The kits ones are meh at best, and it's a focal point of these jets.
  3. Not sure if this will help or hinder you. A flying A-1E at the National Museum of WWII Aviation in Colorado. https://jbryan.smugmug.com/Airplanes/USAF/USAF-Attack/A-1E-52-132683
  4. The sprues look modular, all the D specific parts look like the could be easily swapped out. It didn't take them all that long to release all three versions of the Penguin, so fingers crossed.
  5. The New England Air Museum is not far away either. Up by Bradley Airport. https://neam.org/pages/visit
  6. There's some hi res shots of the Black Sheep jet here: https://www.holloman.af.mil/News/Display/Article/3825566/8th-fighter-squadron-unveils-new-flagship-honoring-f-117-nighthawk/
  7. Here is a shot from the Air Force Museum during restoration. : https://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Visit/Museum-Exhibits/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/195966/boeing-b-17f-memphis-belle/ If you're on the Facebook, here is a 360 from the Cockpit360 page. I believe they have an App as well. https://www.facebook.com/Cockpit360/posts/to-complete-this-weeks-cockpit360-tour-we-present-the-flight-deck-of-the-boeing-/1194287365487985/
  8. The longer you wait, the harder it gets. I use a Kicker to set it up, give it anywhere from few minutes to an hour or two, and then sand it out. If you wait several days, it sets up harder than a rock and is tough to sand out.
  9. That could very well be. It's designed to be viewed from a certain angle, and some of the video probably didn't capture that. We're planning on making the trip next year. My daughter wants to go, but it hasn't worked with her school schedule yet.
  10. Nice! My son went and camped for the week. "Sweaty" was his verdict. I watched the live streams from work. Every time I saw something cool, I texted him to get some pictures of it. The flying I saw was good. With the exception of the Rob Holland tribute, I was underwhelmed by the night show. I thought last years was better. May just have been the difference live vs. Memorex.
  11. They just parked her in Boeing Plaza at Oshkosh. https://www.eaa.org/airventure/live
  12. Based on the Air Force video, she was one of the Midnight Hammer raiders. I looks like they include the GBU-57 as well. Just need 1/144 pilots.....
  13. Look here: https://the48ers.com/viper-demo-team-f-16c-venom-camouflage-mask-and-decals.html
  14. Super Clean/Purple Power. Let it soak for awhile, as in a couple days. I've found Vallejo can be stubborn, more so that some enamels and lacquers.
  15. Buddy and I are coming down for awhile. We're hitting the Buffalo show Sunday, so we can't stay all day.
